Good luck to WB. I guess this was an easy choice not just from a basketball standpoint. No need to relocate/move cities. He also joins a pretty deep team, no pressure to deliver his usual numbers. I wonder if he’ll eventually start again since the Clips need a PG.

For me, there is no one like the Human Highlight Film when it comes to dunking the ball.  Both in games and in dunk contests.  The power of his dunks are just awe inspiring.

I thought Dominique won that one but they gave it to Spud Webb due to his size.  Also in that dunk-off with Jordan, Nique won that too.  Dominique is the most powerful dunker ever - the net just explodes with each dunk.  But Vince Carter was far more creative - his in-game dunks were dunk-contest worthy.

The new contestants are getting better, adding variety and difficulty on staple dunks.  For example, Dominique did the 360 and the windmill (with power and aplomb) but Vince combined those 2 in one dunk.  McCLung went over 360, doing a 540.  Another Dominique staple - the from-the-groin power reverse dunk with legs spread wide open, McClung did that too but with a double pump.  Given his height, Mac was truly impressive.  Ya, far better than Spud and Nate IMO.

Oh...and they should trade Trae Young in the offseason.  Maximize his value while early.   Really not a good idea to build around a very small player who is a huge liability on defense come playoff time.  He isn't even elite on the offensive end.  Volume shooter with low %. He isn't a playmaker as well (hence the acquisition of Dejounte)

what made spud webbs dunk unique  is the fact that he's only 5-7 in height.

if you judge it by the "dunk performance" solely, definitely others are
better. but if you consider he's height in the equation then that make's it
super special.

Im 100% sure that the Lakers advised him to operate where he is effective.  Matigas ulo nyan. Pilit na bumato sa tres eh 28% shooting accuracy sya.  2nd to the last sa NBA.

Hindi ba sya nagtataka kung bakit pag nasa perimeter sya eh lahat ng bantay nya from ALL opposing teams eh they sag down and are egging him to shoot?

To put things in perspective,  Shaq had a career Free Throw Percentage of 52% and teams hacked him to no end.   Ito 28%.  Kayang tuwang tuwa ang mga kalaban ng Lakers when Russ was there. Those are extra possessions for them whenever Russ shoots from distance.
