I have to give credit to Ham, madalas kong ma bash pero maganda game plan at depensa nila sa series nila sa GSW tinalo nya ang magaling mag coach na si Steve Kerr. The CinderelLA run continues Happy na ko na umabot ang Lakers sa WCF after the awful start to the season and all the doomsday comments. Ibang klaseng challenge ang Nuggets. It would be a very pleasant surprise if the Lakers manage to make it to the NBA Finals.

Well sana nga. Unlike in 2020, the Nuggets are a more complete team this season. Solid first five led of course by the Joker and Murray, with a pretty effective bench (Brown, Braun, Jeff Green, RJax).

The Lakers did not face teams with such a balanced roster and a dominant center on their way to the WCF: MIN didn’t have Gobert, MEM was without Adams/Clarke, and GS only had Looney. The Lakers also don’t have the likes of Howard and McGee this time around to relieve AD of the pressure of containing Jokic.

Clearly underdogs ang Lakers against the West’s top seed. Maybe that’s enough motivation for them to play with the fire and focus they need to pull off the upset. Their commitment to defense will be the key.

if there is a chink in the armor of Joker it is his defense against mobile bigs.  Ayton was a sitting duck for him because he is slower than Joker.  KAT and Gobert as well for the 1st round.

AD is the type of player that can give him problems.  He needs to stay in the court though. Any sort of health issue or foul trouble will be hard for the Lakers to overcome.

Shroder/Reeves/D'lo have their hands full with Jamaal Murray BUT they just managed to limit Steph Curry which is an even tougher player to cover.  That will serve them well since it warms them up for the task on hand sa DEN series.

MPJ will be MPJ...a 6'10" 3 point assassin.  Plays soft defense and rarely ventures in the paint.  This is the player than LBJ will target again and again.

I think that is unfair to coach Monty since he got relagated with an injured Chris Paul (again) and a non relevant player Ayton. He was also left with a weak bench to work with. Kung meron man dapat sisihin it is Phoenix Suns owner Mat Ishbia who made this trade and not filling up the bench. The NBA also need to know that there is no relying to Chris Paul come playoffs. Dapat mag retire na to meron talagang balat sa pwet to.

Btw, si TJ Warren was the main man in Indiana Pacer some years ago and once touted as the next Kawhi Leonard with his two way playing. Sayang after his injury di na sya nakabalik to his former form. He could have been the 3rd option in this team plus his defense.

Dapat mag retire na si Chris Paul, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George altogether.

IMHO may ownership and accountability din si Monty sa last 3 playoff runs nila.

- First off he insisted to play  Ayton one on one against Giannis.  Not a good idea.
- there was no wall to speak of against Giannis. Again not a good idea.
- You were leading 3-2 against DAL. couldn't get it done. Soundly beaten by Doncic in the 7th in their own building
- Relied too much on their first 5, They had 12 games to go before the playoffs after they acquired KD.  Instead of giving the bench players confidence by playing them, he opted not to.  Ayun nangyari when he summoned them to play in the crucial parts of the playoffs. 
- No game plan at all for the Joker.  Not even a double team.  Hindi pwede yun. 2 time MVP yan. Get the ball out of his hands.  He cannot hurt you when he doesn't have the ball.
- They didn't play fast. Puro half court set offense.  Mabagal si Joker.  If you play fast he will be left on the play and you have an advantage.  If you don't then he will be a 7 foot obstacle towards the rim.

Lastly, new owner yan.....he already made a splash and commitment to PHO that he is willing to spend what it takes to get them to the top.  We have seen these folks already. Balmer, Prokhorov, Joe Tsai.....syempre gusto nila handpicked din nila ang head coach. 

Monty was a remnant of the past ownership.

Ganun pala kagaling si Mikal Bridges. he averaged 14ppg when he was in a Suns uniform.  In 27 games for Brooklyn and with the same amount of minutes per night, he averaged 26.1ppg.

Why wasn't he featured in the offense for PHO?  They just designated him as a spot up guy in case ma double si Booker. He was great in his role yes but they could have involved him more to lessen the load for Booker and CP3 during the finals with MIL or during the meltdown with DAL.

Never ako nagalingan dyan kay Murray.  Scorer yes but yun lang sya.  Never naging All Star yan and never na pumasok sa All NBA Teams yan since he joined the NBA in 2016.  Pinaka mataas na naging NBA accomplishment nya is MVP of the Rising Stars Challenge sa All Star Weekend nung 2017.  Exhibition game yun and no bearing at all.

Mahihirapan si Murray dyan.  Vando, Schroder and tatao dyan.  He will be hunted as well on the defensive end kasi mahina sa depensa si Murray.  Asahan mo yan he will end up guarding the Old Dude in Purple in Gold.  Dillon Brooks is Second All NBA Defensive team.  Umubra ba?  Game 6 ng Warriors series...pinarusahan nya all night long si Steph and Klay. Puro pick and roll.  Wala din nagawa yung dalawa.  Mga champions yun ha.

Si Joker ang mahusay.  Legit na MVP yan. 2x pa.  You double him and he becomes deadlier since he will spot the open man.  He will be the biggest problem for the Lakers.  Sa depensa eh malaki si Joker. He can bother AD down low pero if AD sets his mind to it eh kaya nya yun. Si JJJ nga All Defensive first team nilamon lang ng buhay ni AD whenever he felt like it.
