In retrospect, Wemby is way ahead of Giannis if we are to compare their abilities at a specific age.  I remember Giannis when he was 20 years of age...he couldn't dribble nor shoot. He was a magnet of offensive fouls as well since he has not mastered the euro step yet.

Galing nga ng MIL. They developed the player that they believed could be the future centerpiece for their team.  The basic tools were there all along for Giannis....the drive and motivation, length, speed, athleticism etc.  They bulked him up, developed his handles and moves, improved his shooting, developed his defensive skills etc.  They then molded the team around him to complement his strengths,  Specific goals were set as well like being in the NBA All Star team, DPOY etc.  In year 5 of his NBA career Giannis was the MVP already of the league.  In year 7 he won the championship. 

Scary to think that Wemby has more tools in his bag than Giannis in Year 1.  The Spurs better not waste his talent.

Luka-less Mavericks just taking apart a hapless Portland team.  I think Dallas has the pieces to make a legit playoff run.  Team consistency na lang and no more injuries. They acquired sleeper assets in Exum, Lawson, Hardy, Derrick Jones and a high potential 2-way rookie in Lively. These guys + Grant Williams have improved the Mavs defense.  Josh Green and Tim Hardaway have stepped up their game. And their 2 superstars appear content and playing great at the moment.

Ham is pointing out the injuries as the main cause for their underperformance.  That's BS.,...Every team has an injured player or two at any given time.  Next man up mentality should be the norm here.

The motivation and drive of the team is the one in question.  Again the argument could be had that this team is basically the same team that went to the Western Conference finals just a few months ago.  What is apparent is the lack of aggression and focus.  Last year the Lakers were the league leaders in FT attempts....now that is just a memory.

All of them were resigned to multi year contracts.  Their regression took a dip after the ink has dried on those contracts.  Underperformance like that should under the accountability of the coaching team....not the GM nor LBJ nor AD.  The numbers that LBJ and AD are putting up each night are All Star numbers..

The TOR vs GSW game today showcased the steep drop off in Wiggins' game. in 18 minutes playing time he was a -29 in PER and went 1-6 for 3 points all night.

we're watching the downward spiral of the team that once reigned over the league. this was expected with the roster change and the players catching up to their age.
