Rurouni Kenshin is a remake of the popular 90's manga (adapted since into countless anime episodes and movies, in addition to live action cinema adaptations) about the legendary assassin Hitokiri Battousai now living as mild-mannered wandering swordsman Himura Kenshin. The story is set during the age of restoration, following the violent era of
Bakumatsu.
This anime series is directed by Hideyo Yamamoto, animated by
Liden Films and broadcast in Japan under Fuji TV. In the US, it can be viewed through Aniplex while viewers outside Asia can watch it through Crunchyroll. In the Philippines, the series is available on Amazon Prime.
