Fallout Season 2 Confirmed, Filming Location Revealed in Tax Credit

Ahead of its series debut on April 11, the early Fallout Season 2 renewal for Prime Video’s highly-anticipated TV adaptation of hit video game series has officially been confirmed by the California Film Commission.

Per Variety, the production of Fallout Season 2 expected to take place in California after Amazon MGM Studios received $25 million in tax credits. The first installment of the sci-fi drama was originally filmed in New York and Utah.

‘Fallout’ Series Gets New Release Date on Prime Video

“Fallout” is stepping out of the vault earlier than originally planned.

Prime Video has announced that “Fallout,” adapted from the retro-futuristic video game franchise of the same name, will premiere all eight episodes on April 10 at 6 p.m. PT.

Seems they're making TV shows for the games I'm familiar with. The Witcher 3, I spend a lot of time playing it. Borderlands I played most of the games except for the latest one. The Fallout games, I played most of it except New Vegas; Fallout 4 is still installed in my PC and I have yet to finish it. Spent a huge amount of time building extravagant settlements and armoring/giving strong weapons to my settlers. Got burned out a bit so I stopped, but will finish the game at some point. Maybe next they'll do Cyberpunk 2077. 😄

Yup. As of last year, this was announced as in the planning / development stages.....

Wow, seems my guess is spot on. Didn't know something was planned for Cyberpunk 2077, which I just finished recently. Well, I'm playing Horizon Forbidden West (PC) right now so I wouldn't be surprised if at some point someone gets the idea to make a Horizon show.

‘Fallout’ Nabs 65 Million Viewers in First Two Weeks of Availability, Amazon Claims

“Fallout” is proving to be far from a (nuclear) bomb for Amazon’s Prime Video.

According to the streamer, the series pulled in 65 million viewers in its first 16 days of availability, with the first season dropping in its entirety on April 10. That makes it the second most-watched title ever on the platform and the most-watched title since the debut on “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” back in 2022.

Just finished binge watching this series over 2 nights... one of the better releases this year... loved all the characters especially Walton Goggins as the Ghoul... Backstories are all solid and fleshed out

I never played the game and I'm not familiar with the source storyline at all. I am currently on Episode 4 and liking it so far.

Same... I wasn't even remotely familiar with the game but the series does well even without that background knowledge. I did research a but while watching to get soe of the backstory. Kakainis lang gamers who keep criticizing the show for minor differences from the game.

Amazon’s Fallout has received 16 nominations for the 76th Emmy Awards. They include a nomination for Outstanding Drama Series and for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series for Walton Goggins. Fallout is also nominated for writing, visual effects and production design.
