mga bros, saan ang local distributor ng MA? those who tried the RX1 & RX2 ano observations nyo compared to B/W685?

Audioworld in Banawe is the distro, dealers I know are Toys for the Audio boys, Makati (MCS) & AVshop in Kalayaan ave. QC.
685 is more neutral sounding, rx1 is on the warmer side of neutral same as rx2 w/c is more dynamic and can pass as a floorstander for having a big sound.

Yup mas mahal ang 685 kesa RX1. Tsaka ang counterpart ng RX1 sa 600 series e 686. RX2 sa 685

During the Hifi show, the distro mentioned they aren't stocking RX2s anymore. I feel bad coz its one of my favorite bookshelves out there but at the same time I feel excited to hear the new Silver line of MA.

hindi naman master G, pero bata pa yung karpintero  28 yrs old lang, sanay kasi tenga nila sa mp3 at earphone then portable lang gamit nila sa bahay base sa interview ko    kaya siguro na-notice nya yung difference, saka rx6 ang gamit ko nung time na yun.

try correcting the room acoustics first.

If you still find it "bright", try amps that tend to sound on the warmer side of the spectrum.

NAD and Marantz amps come to mind.

Or, maybe a high powered tube amp will do. Then tube roll to cater to your desired SQ.

I'm using rx1 with rotels (pre/power) detailed but not bright. Big sounding. Try changing speaker cables/IC.

Try the NAD amplifiers or EL34 based tube amps...

B6 po yun PSB ko dati... ok sya kaso lang hindi ko ma control yun talas
then Mission MX3, sa una parang regular FS at walang strength not unlike PSB una plang astig na agad ang low's at mid pero yun nka 1month burn in ayun lumabas na ang lambing at low's lalo na yun kinabit ko Xindak bi-wire ganda ng dynamics (wait lang talaga ng matagal na burn in).
As for RX1, testing side by side sa MX3, malaki different sa lahat eh. (MX3 win), pero try ko ulit using ibang cable at IC.

Note: isang 64yrs old na babae, isang 7yrs old na babae at ako, lahat kami iisa ang comment. pero still will try ibang cables...

I test RX1 whole day kahapon and using 12awg pure copper, ayun nabawasan yun talas. dapat walang comparison ang BS to FS dahil angat na angat ang FS, pero astig si RX1 just close your eye and "BOOM" laki ng tunog nya, one thing na pansin ko sa RX1 yun Low nya... ang sweet at saktong sakto lang hindi attack or boomy, smooth and tight sya.

Test ko muna sa tatlong album ni Noel Cabangon at wala ako masabi sa sweet and detailed nya.
Biyahe, Panaginip at Tuloy and Biyahe.
Then test sa Metallica "Black album" ganda ng opening kick drum sa "Nothing else Matter" solid and tight.
na compare ko sya sa B6, given na mas mataas ang price ni RX1, yes mas maganda ang bass ng RX1.
Then ito na test kay Radiohead - Kid A album. astig itong album na ito considering 2000 nilabas yun album at considered na post grunge, parang nag time skip si Thom at napunta sa 3000 at bumalik ulit sa 2000. grabe ang pagka latag ng tempo at electronics dito, first time ko nadinig same feeling na parang nagpunta ako sa future... Sorry sa short review sa Kid A album

Tracks:
Treefingers - kayang kaya nya delivered yun dating ng pag transience sa time skip feeling.
Kid A - sakto lang medyo nahirapan sa bilis na tempo from mid to high low's.
The National Athem - magaling separation ng mga electronics at still nasasakal sa tempo ng mid to high low's
Optimistic - Nahirapan sa lahat. grabe kasi ang gawa dito, ang dumi ng gitara tapos malinaw na consistent drums and synthesizer sa background. well hindi ko pa ito naririnig talaga ng maayos, hindi ko na alam kung normal na madumi sya.

I also test sa mga Jazz at instrumental like Prozak, Tito Tevez, Chillout proj, ect. wala naman issue at kayang kaya...

Buy the way, tama ba yun mga chismis na hind pwede sa rock to hard low's ang tube amp at pang SS amp lang ang ganun genre?

Di po ba Sir pag bright sounding sa pandinig nyo ang RX1, dapat gamitan ng warm or neutral sounding amplifier? Ang pairing kasi nyan eh yung pine-pair ni Audioworld (roksan amp) pero mahal nga lang.,Eh bakit kay Sir Denton rotel pre/power and RX1, superb combination (maybe because RB 1080 yung power amp nya kaya tanggal ang talas at matching rotel pre amp). May mga mura namang alternative for the amp but we need to audition muna kung papasa sa musical preference ng gagamit.

Ok din 04se sa rx1, neutral kasi 04se kaya lalabas character ng rx1 being detailed kaso medyo bitin sa power, kulang to drive the rx1 to its potential. Sometimes kala natin matalas amp pero what we don't know is that kulang lang sa power idrive yung rx1. i suggest to pair it with at least ra1520. Try neutral cables like chord silverscreen para mas musical pero detailed. 80 watter lang rx1 so may limitation yung lakas nya.
