Thanks for the replies! Is the RX1 a lot better than the BX2?

i have the rx2 and im trying to look for reviews pairing it to emotiva xpa2 since im planning to buy power amp, will it produce too much bass kaya? i read resident_evils review of the xpa2, i thought it will reinforce the bass knowing that my listening area is not wide enough. any inputs guys?

Its will be better. Bass will be refined and controlled. Because of this, High frequencies will be clearer.

You will have to place them farther away from the corner wall as the RX2's are rear ported. Better if you can treat your room w/ bass traps and absorbers. IME, being an 8 incher they need a lot of watts to hear their true potential, open up and for the bass to go deeper and tighter. I hooked them up w/ 16w, 50w, 125w. before yet I still got little improvements w/ an XPA-5 running on 2ch @ 280w. Never felt so rewarded. :) My guess is RX2's will settle at around 150w of power.

will an upgrade to RX1 or RX2 from a polk Rti1 be a worthy one?

If I were in your position, I would rather spend it on other gears or room treatment. But if money is no object, I will go ahead buy the XPA-2, hear for myself if it will make a difference and afterwards sell on the marketplace whichever I think is the more inferior.
If ever, pls. reserve the XPA-2 for me. :)

hi guys. has anybody tried to pair a BX2 with an AMX amp (15wpc)? will this be a good pair? read that the BX2's are quite picky

appreciate your thoughts on this.

Had the rx1 recently in high gloss black. The sound is as great as it looks. I am current using it with with rotel amplification. I am very impressed. They can go loud without strain. Would try them with a Nad amp, they match better daw. Looking forward to it.

Heard them both. Rx1 is way better than the rs1. Rx1 is warmer. Both transparent. Highs of both can be harsh and bass of rx1 is a bit loud so partner electronics with care. Rx1 is very very good. From audiophile to metal music. Slayer on vinyl kicks ass on RX1

How would you compare them to the denton?

Actually very very good. Pansin ko sa rx anlaki ng tunog. Can go Louder than the dentons.
Though some may not like it because they don't prefer powerful bass.
RX1 rocks!

I've been trying my RX1 with Denon PMA 2000 with great results. Bass and details are very good.
