I know some 'spell chants' from the Visionaries cartoon series, I'm not sure if you remember them (I like the one dubbed in Tagalog when it was shown on Ch.2):

"Humanay ang tatlong araw, sumabog ang liwanag,
at pinuno ng lakas ang pana!"

(The character Krayotek chanting his Strength spell)

"Ang sinumang gumapang, bayaang gumapang,
ang sinumang hindi, bayaang maagnas at mabulok!!!"

(The villanous leader Darkstorm chanting his Decay spell)

My favorite cartoons of the 80s were: Starblazers and Macross (Robotech) - Oh how I wish this series would be shown again on TV (actually, Channel 2 ran the first Robotech series a few years ago, based on the SDF-1 landing on Earth , but to my disappointment, they blatantly edited some scenes in every episode, and they never got to telecast the final episodes of that series)

Superfriends! so much so that I now get goosebumps when i see the new justice league unlimited ads. I have their action figures that came with every jollibee meal.

He-man--It's funny that everyone on that planet is super-buff and that Adam just gets a tan when he turns into He-man. Well-drawn animation. Was so fascinated with Sorceress...Also like the moral lesson at the end.

GI Joe--I just realized how American junk had completely molded me. Syempre may lesson din sa end--"now i know; and knowing is half the battle---yoooo joe!"

Garfield and friends --I think i know the theme song by heart "Friends are there, to help you get started, to give you a push on your way..."

Centurions --"power extreme". I played Ace, the guy who flies.

pero nothing beats the marcross saga (robotech). very nice storyline. they showed it sometime in 94 at star plus every 4:30pm. good thing they're now available on dvd.

If live action counts, does anyone remember the Card Rangers, the Japanese show where a plane and a car combine to form a robot, Gigantor (what channel?), Wacky Races and others, and Wait Til Your Father Gets Home? How about the Sigmund and the Sea Monster series?

dre, you're age is showing yata dahil most of the cartoons you mentioned were in the 70s. panahon ko pa yan, hehehe.
gigantor used to air in the old channel 5 before martial law, i just dont know kung ini air nila ulit after the martial law just like voltes v ulit because i have been hoping to see it again ever since. i remember an episode where he was up against an army of gigantors but the memory is hazy na. wait till your father get's home used to air on rpn 9 and i remember it being sort of a filler ba dahil yun ang isasak ng 9 kapag nag speech si marcos sa tv and all the channels air it, tapos pag tapos na speech e di na pwedeng
isaksak yung scheduled na show so they will put on this cartoon. do i remember it right? i still can remember the melody of that show's theme in my head right now...

wacky races-- who can forget muttley's sneer whenever dick dastardly's plans go to hell. penelope pittstop and this seven mobsters that i really cannot spell the name, entail mob? sigmund was a live action show much in the vein of the bugaloos and another one called the banana splits? i think it was a sid and marty kroft production something - yung sigmund and bugaloos - the banana splits was by hanna barbera cartoons. eto pa isa, who can remember the super president?

magkakatropa yung series na yun and i'm actually getting out of topic with this because this is 70s fare, but i remember that mightor series which was also coupled with moby dick, then there was the herculoids which is getting
airtime at the cartoon network along with birdman, super president and atom ant. they might look cheesy now but back then, nothing was more cooler than those shows...

Maybe you mean JAK-Q, the sentai (aka "Power Ranger") series where five heroes (it's usually 5 in sentai) dressed in themed fighting suits (in JAK-Q's case, playing cards) battle cybernetically enhanced criminals (oh...how ironic!!!).

Sigmund and his brothers Burp & Slurp (?), The Bugaloos who always foiled the evil plots of Bertha Bizarre, Land of the Lost (the original "Lost" series), WonderWheels, ElectraWoman & DynaGirl, The Banana Splits (remember the "Danger Island" segments helmed by future Superman and Lethal Weapon director Richard Donner)

You mentioned everything I fondly remember on the boob tube from my childhood. Heck, I even bought the Wacky Races and Land of the Lost DVD sets already. Pass ako on Sigmund...

heheh.....its good that you liked it.....actualy i was also amazed when i first saw this site......it was a boring day at the office when i first got a hold of prysmos.com and this was while i was searching for a voltes5 and daimos poster i saw about 4 years ago......baka meron sa inyo nitong particular poster na yung kalahati ng katawan ni voltes5 o kaya ni daimos a blueprint ng internal parts nila.....kung sino man ang may link nito please paki send naman......meron pa kong hinahanap na booklet ng mga robots na gawa ng bandai......kasama to sa box pag bumili ka dati ng orig na voltes5 25' die cast(na meron ako dati

You could find Saber Rider, Thundersub, Voltron and others. It brought back memories.
