i see...

yung sa altec 1269 ko kasi, ang nakalagay sa front niya is "power amplifier" pero may volume controls siya. ang connection ko is cdp ====> altec 1269.

If your altec has volume, inputs switch & connections at the back for other sources like cdp, tuner, aux, phono, etc - then that is more an Integrated amp or some may call it integrated power amp

sa likod ng amp ko kasi ang nakalagay lang eh Line Out, Unbal and yung pang XLR na connector. and yup it has volume controls for Left and Right Channels.

napapaisip kasi ako na baka kailangan pa ito ng pre-amp, if that is the case eh may dadagdag sa list ko aside sa cdp na plan ko para dito.

a newbie question lang:

pag sinabi ba na power amp dapat ba ganito lang ang connection:

cdp ====> pre amp ====> power amp

or pwede rin ang

cdp ====> power amp

pwede yan basta meron volume control yung CDP mo or meron gain control yong amp mo...
