Irma's terrific in North Diversion Road. And her theater work is great--anything she does with Tanghalang Pilipino is worth seeing.

And she's hot, too. Not obvious when you first glance at her, but in a full length performance, especially onstage--Ara Mina pales in comparison. I don't care for pork.

I'll definetelty look for that movie Noel!

Sosy_high you missed Gina Alajar as Cynthia in BRUTAL. Maya Valdez as Dra. Jo Russell in ORO PLATA MATA.

Maya Valdez in Manila By Night, and Bulaklak sa City Jail. Helen Gamboa and Irma Adlawan in Bagong Bayani. Albert Martinez in Rizal sa Dapitan. Albert, Ruby Moreno and Michelle Aldana in Segurista. Elizabeth Oropesa in Tastulok. Mark Anthony Fernandez in Biyaheng Langit and Jesus Rebolusyunaryo. Ronnie Lazaro in Jesus too.

Joel Torre, Yul Servo, Gloria Diaz, Art Acuna and Pricilla Almeda--actually the entire cast--of Batang West Side. Raymond Bagatsing in one of the greatest performances of the '90s, in Kriminal ng Baryo Concepcion. Ronnie Lazaro in Heremias.

She's happily married. Saw her some years back, in I don't know 1999 or early 00's--she's fine. Beautiful as ever.

In the 90s, I'd say the two best Filipino performances were Raymond in Kriminal, and Helen in Bagong Bayani.

Yeah, Maya Valdez again in BULAKLAK SA CITY JAIL. If there is one person you should hate in the movie that's her. Also the entire cast of BATANG WEST SIDE are worth seeing.

I haven't seen Batang West Side. Albert Martinez was pretty good in Rizal sa Dapitan but I hate the movie.

Ah well. Rizal sa Dapitan isn't a crowd pleaser (tho I like it very much, myself; think it's worlds better than Marilou's Rizal, and Martinez a far more convincing Rizal than Montano)--Tikoy went with Pete Lacaba's more politically oriented 'Escape from Dapitan' direction. Ten percent of my script is what's left--if you want to see the Rizal movie I had in mind, it's O'Hara's Sisa.

for a Rizal movie, I think my Fave was Jose Rizal (1998) but close second was Sisa.

Batang West Side was 5 hrs. long ryt?  ???

Four hours fifty something minutes, if I remember right.

Of the Rizal films, I'd rate O'Hara's Sisa first, then Bayaning Third World,  then (well I can't be objective about it, I admit) Tikoy's Rizal sa Dapitan.

Unless we include adaptations of Rizal's novels, in which case, Gerry de Leon's El Filibusterismo first, O'Hara's Sisa second, Bayaning Third World third, Gerry de Leon's Noli Me Tangere fourth, and then Rizal sa Dapitan. I wish Ramon Estella's version was still around.

Mitch Valdes (Dr. Jo) in Oro Plata Mata
Fides Cuyugan-Asencio (Inday) in Oro Plata Mata
Anita Linda (?) in Bakit Bughaw ang Langit
Gigi Duenas (Nimia) in Himala
Ina Raymundo (?) in Tuhog

Havent seen Kriminal ng Baryo Concepcion. Many say Raymond Bagatsing gave a great performance in that film. I wish I know where I can get a copy of that movie.
