i just bought a wharfedale kh1000 from hi-fi lounge for 8.5k.  although i'm not powering it with a karaoke amp, it sounds good for karaoke.  my only problem is the large footprint and it looks awkward and out of place with my ht speakers... monitor audio rs series.

now i'm thinking of selling the kh1000 since i don't like the way they look in my ht.  if i can't find a better looking karaoke speakers then i might just replace it with a bookshelf ht speakers?  might not go as loud but it will not look out of place.

My suggestion, lang if you want to use bookshelf speakers gumamit kayo ng subwoofer mas enjoy!!!! Actually much better if you have a tube line pre-amp padaanin nyo mike mixer or magic sing whatever. My experience: Less sibilance ng highs of course audiophile quality mids!  ::)

yung HT setup is for HT purposes. kung karaoke, usually left & right yan. meron dai ichi bagong speakers for karaoke purposes, check mo megamall. ang ganda ng tunog. 4.2k ata pair. yan yung ginagamit sa mga display ng magic sing.

not for me amigo...   ;)

not necessarily na limitado ka lang sa 2 front teeth este front speakers... if anybody plans to use their HT setup for karaoke, pls be careful when using the 2 fronts only. masyadong mapupwersa ang speakers nyo, pero kung gagamitin mo pati ang surround mas nababawasan ang stress ng fronts mo -- iwas damage sa front speakers. plus iba rin ang dating, mas ok (para sa akin). using a sub for karaoke?! naman!  ;D the best! hth
