Korean film I just rented from Red Hot Videos.
Better story than Hero or HOFD.
Kulang lang sa cinematography.

Yeah true..I liked it too. I thought it was better than HOFD and Hero. The story was much easier to chew and the CGI and production value, WOW!!! It puts Philippine cinema 20 years behind.

I second the motion! This movie instantly knocked out HOFD and Hero in my best foreign movie list.  :)

I heard that this was the most expensive Chinese film ever produced.

also try kino's munchausen {1943}, the original german epic version,


 it's already colored and remastered, it was a big box office hit in germany when its originally released and banned until the 1970's

1. Count of Monte Cristo  (3or4 disc  French, Gerard Depardiue)
2. Closer (chinese, female assasins - action)
3. Zatoichi (japanese, blind samurai action)
4. Anything with samurai actor Toshirô Mifune (Seven Samurai, Yojimbo, Sanjuro, Musashi (3disc) )and/or Directed by Akira Kurosawa (Ran, Rashomon, etc..)  --these are Criterion Collection DVDs
5. Anything with Zhang Ziyi (Crouching Tiger etc.)
6. Jackie Chan's Drunken Master
7. Anything (anime) by Hayao Miyazaki (Totorro, Nausicaa, Laputa Castle in the Sky, Kiki's Delivery Service, Princess Mononoke etc...)
8. Das Boot (German, war)
9. Amelie (French? can't remember)
10.  My Sassy Girl (korean)
11.  Kung Fu Hustle (Chinese)
