used my MasterCard yesterday and was finally able to purchase from koreandvds again... whew!   ;D there must be something wrong with their Visa verification.. I tried using my Visa first again but was rejected again... The MasterCard transaction went through smoothly...  ;D

got a reply from korean on my declined transactions...

Dear Customer

Actually we do not process credit card, so we cannot know what the problem is

The WorldPay processes the credit card, so could you please ask to [email protected] about your problem ?

Thanks,

basically, hindi nila alam...  ;D

In addition pala.. I checked with my card companies and they said there were no requests for transaction authorization at the time I was trying to purchase from korean so I guess it must have been a system glitch... I will try purchasing using a Visa card again soon...

Anyway my mastercard did the trick and I already received confirmation that my Saving Private Ryan D-day 60th Anniv Ed has been shipped as of Jan 3, 2005

My Saving Private Ryan was sent via EMS... so my shipping fee was more epensive than the dvd itself  ;D

today would be the 38th day from the time I received the notice from koreandvds that they had already shipped my order... I am resigned to the fact na naging X'mas gift na yung Black Hawk Down SDE and Malena ko... Lesson learned... never order during the Holidays  >:(

Speaking of Malena, I was surprised to see this being aired on SkyCable Cinema One (Channel 22) last Sunday... It was dubbed in Tagalog though  ;D... Funny watching Monica Bellucci speaking Tagalog... Of course, daming cuts but the scene where she was beaten up by the crowd for sleeping with the Germans was overlooked... her right breast was exposed for several seconds as it was hanging out of her torn dress...  :o hehehe sorry OP

Got my Big Fish Special LE today :)...nice package...got a different scene for the refrigerator magnet...Ewan Mcgregor is talking to a little girl with the these words written under it...Sometimes in a dream, you'll visit places that seem instantly familiar......sorry haven't seen the movie yet so I can't tell which part of the movie it was :(

Sayang nandito na rin sana Saving Private Ryan ko, (shipped at the same time as Big Fish but ordered earlier), if I used EMS instead of ordinary air mail :(

Thanks aeris! Don't worry, tapos na pasko so hopefully makalusot package mo sa mga crocodiles  ;D
Koreandvds already responded to my lost package inquiry...  :)
I actually do not blame koreandvds if they wanted to pull out of the Philippine market because of lost packages... it's really a big loss for them  :o

depende rin pala sa weight nung package ang price ng EMS. kaya pala inaabot ng $21+ ung 3 dvds na gusto ko  :'(  no possibilities of regular air mail talaga?

Just a suggestion... maybe we can all save on the EMS if we put our orders together... I mean for those who know each other or have dealt with each other before and are comfortable doing this, maybe we could do it....

Anyone who has plans of ordering from koreandvds can either post it here or PM a fellow member so that anyone who wants to have something ordered can do so therefore members can share the EMS cost... but HONESTY is needed here like equitably dividing the EMS cost...  ;D Am I wishing for the moon here?  ;D ???

I wanted to order kasi the Fish LE but EMS would be $17+. I thought of buying 2 since the EMS cost would be the same and just sell the other one with a mark up to off set part of EMS...

that's a good idea. i know some groups who are actually doing this not only for koreandvds but for all the online stores. you may start with your small group and check if you can save moneys in the process.

also, what you can do is wait for the right time, consolidate all the items you want, and check out for single shipment... also, you may purchase 2-3 items and sell the surplus in the marketplace.

My recently delivered Big Fish LE (weight=300g) was charged only $12.90 for EMS.... I got Black Hawk Down SE (weight=360g) before and was charged only $12.90 for EMS....I also ordered last saturday Spider-man Superbit and Fight Club SE both are 2 discs sets(combined weight=380g) in one shipment and was charged only $12.90 for EMS....the only time I was charged $17.90 for EMS was when I tried ordering Dances With Wolves Director's Cut (weight=550g)...all shipment plus box weight of 80g. I guess if you don't go over 500g, EMS is $12.90.

your right aeris! it is only $12.90 for the Big Fish (300g), the $17.05 was for 2 discs... even then if someone shares the $17.05 with me, that's only $8.50 versus $12.05 which saves me about P490... I could actually order more to offset the EMS but no other discs interested me...  ;D

I am going to order tonight... got a couple of offers already  ;D

Just an FYI to all...

I tried purchasing using an AIG Visa card yesterday and was again declined immediately so I switched to MasterCard which was approved right away....

I called a friend at AIG Cards and asked him about it. They did see this time that the transaction was sent to them for approval but was declined immediately because the system being used by the Merchant did not comply with Visa International systems. Apparently, Visa upgraded their system for 2005 and koreandvds' system has not met the new requirements set by Visa. I am unsure if this only applies to AIG Visa but I was also declined previously using Citibank Visa and HSBC Visa so I guess for all ito.

MasterCard transactions went very smoothly though.

a bit OT, but i just want to comment on the Visa/Mastercard thingy.  i had that same problem way back in 2003.  i had been using my Visa for all online transactions when all of a sudden i had an order with columbiahouse that was cancelled because apparently visa had new security procedures and i guess the merchant didn't meet those standards.  switched to mastercard after that and have encountered no problems so far.

FYI lang so we won't get billed twice on our orders. I just found out from Standard Chartered bank, issuer of the Mastercard that I used in ordering from koreandvds that I still have 4 hanging transactions from World Pay eStop when in fact these transactions were already posted on my credit card on different dates and I already got the dvds. I already emailed eStop and koreandvds regarding this matter and I'm still waiting for their reply. I also found out a similar situation posted on the forum board of koreandvds.  Anybody from you guys experienced this? Dates in question are those that appear as pre-authorization dates on the email sent by World Pay eStop after confirmation of our orders.
