Some speaker manufacturers use "planar" type ribbon speakers. They can be loosely classified as ribbon since they still utilize a radiating ribbon to create sound however they do not come close to the benefits of the true ribbon in terms of highs (true ribbons should produce 40kHz and up), transients and clarity. Planar ribbons are much cheaper and easier to produce since they can be mass produced while true ribbons are 100% hand-made because of the delicateness of the material used.

Rule of thumb... planar ribbons usually - waland ridges yung ribbons.

looking forward to receiving my christmas bonus para makabili na rin ng surrounds and sub to complete my HT set up.

the only thing i cant do with the speakers is bi wire them, baka hirap na receiver with a bi wire in place.

The receiver will still see the same load.

It would be safe to bi-wire. While the F-series is 4 ohms it has a high sensitivity level so the actual load on the amp is light. Moreover, Aurum uses "real" ratings and their speakers arent known to dip much.
