hey guys,

Have you noticed na wala ang ating bestfriend na si willie revillame sa MTB? that is because na tinggal na siya sa nootimetime show dahil sa kabastusan,nagsimula ang kanyang katarantaduhan ng mag wish siya kay mahal na Ma devirginezed siya this chrismas(hindi ko napanood yung ep na yun) at yun last warning na pala ang binigay sa loko at tinggal na siya last jan 1 pa effective yun kaya last friday hindi na nag appear si willie sa mtb,well sana hindi ko na makita ko siya for good sa tv at sana wag na kununin ng ABS CBN
at para hindi na yumabang pa na para bang sino sa TV.
ano sa palagay nyo mga friends what your opinion???

ABS-CBN decided to suspend hosts John Estrada and Willie Revillame for one week over on-air "inappropriate language or conduct" in the noontime program "Masayang Tanghali, Bayan."

The suspension will take effect from June 16 to 21.

In a statement sent to INQ7.net, the network said the hosts committed prohibited acts under their respective talent contract agreements "despite constant and repeated warnings to be conscious of the sensibilities of the viewers."

Because of this, ABS-CBN "found sufficient cause to exercise its remedies under its own agreements with...the hosts (Estrada and Revillame)."

The network was reportedly flooded with complaints regarding certain on-air antics of the mentioned hosts that offended viewers.

The ABS-CBN move, the statement said, was in line with its "commitment of self-regulation and policing the television industry."

It was not long ago they were suspended...

I agree! This is good news for all of us! Caught the guy in The Buzz and he was crying his heart out. He told those dirty jokes daw because he wanted to make people happy. He said that he resigned even before the ABS-CBN management terminated him. There was a chance daw kasi that the show would be suspended for 20 days or so. The MTRCB, as it were, can't suspend talents, just tv shows. So, inunahan na lang niya .

He tried his darndest to defend himself and get the sympathy of the viewers (saying na meron naman daw siyang van na pwede niyang ibenta to be able to continue helping his scholars). But his rude remarks on the noontime show signify his lack or absence of respect for his co-hosts and viewers. He really blew all the chances he was given!

Nothing is permanent ... apparently, only the minority don't want to see him on the tube. If he brings people to the couch and watch TV , he will be back like that governor of CA who groped women.

It was only temporary, suspension is just to "show" to the world that they apply disciplinary action to their people who had problem in behavior. They can't let go Willie, they like his style

contrary to abs-cbn's version, willie resigned from the show.

willie resigned dec. 28 while the network's 'decision to terminate' him came in at dec. 30 (?) in response to his resignation letter.

naturally, he can't be terminated if he resigned first.

Based on my corporate experience, I can refuse the acceptance of a resignation (including irrevocable resignation) and terminate the person if the separation involves violation of certain rules of the company. I found out one of my subordinates is padding his liquidation. When he was investigated, he submitted his resignation. However, his 'irrevocable' resignation was refused and was terminated after the results of the investigation was released.

Maybe this is the same case as ABS CBN. Nevertheless, whether Willie is terminated or his resignation accepted, it only means that Willie, being a talent, is removed from the program. Sadly, nothing prevents ABS from hiring him again for another program if they want to in pursuit of the almighty ratings.

but that's not the case. if you read the response of cory vidanes (vp-abscbn) in phil star last dec 30(?) she categorically said "we have received your resignation and accepted (or something to that effect)". then in succeeding lines she said "we are terminating your contract..." ang gulo no?

if i'm not mistaken, ABS-CBN took actions only in response to the MTRCB's threat to revoke the license of the show MTB, since MTRCB does not have direct jurisdiction over the "licenses" of talents themselves.

so the logic was if ABS-CBN weren't to impose any penalty on Revillame, the MTRCB would be forced to cancel the show altogether. hence, the decision to terminate him.

now i dont know how strict or lax the MTRCB can be about the chances of Revillame being reinstated into MTB.

It's a good thing ABS called Willie's bluff. It appeared to me a bluff as he thought that ABS will try to stop him like they did when MTB first went off-air, making people believe that Revillame was out for good. Well, they learned their lesson now. And Willie arrogantly daydreamed he could be called a Messiah by claiming he resigned because he wanted to save the show. What a big bag of wind!

I hope GMA won't pick up somebody else's garbage!

I don't think GMA saw a goldmine in Revillame. Otherwise, they would have contracted him during his hiatus. He was better off as one of Randy Santiago's stooges or Hawi Boys. When he got all the breaks, he felt that the fly should be bigger than the carabao. I don't wanna see his face on tv anymore!

Our bestfriend Willie revillame is back,he will host a game show called"puso o pera" it will be aired in ABC 5 on March 7,sunday Well nasa 5 na si willie buti naman at once a week ang program niya at hindi sa noon time show,I heard na gagawa ng Nootime show ang 5 para kay willie? Ako ? I didn't care much. He can be funny sometimes. But like I said, if you don't like him, why watch and be annoyed by his antics ? It's what I do with George Clooney anyway.

Anyway, there is this line in South Park:Bigger, Longer & Uncut. "Horrific, deplorable violence is okey as long as you don't say naughty language."

Frankly, I'd rather see kids growing up saying words that are naughty than see them learn how to shoot someone without remorse. My thinking is potty mouths can be unlearned ... but desensitized from violence can never be undone. THAT's JUST ME.
