the specs are impressive. good reviews too. but haven't heard them. don't even know if it's available here. villman has the z-680 though. you may want to go there and have a listen.

I believe they're the comparable to the Logitech Z-680s. (Based on US-based forums)

Hi guys! I hope that you can help me with my problem. I just bought a Z-5500 but I can't turn it on because I'm not sure if it's 110v or 220v. I forgot to ask the salespeople. Nakakaparanoid so I would like to ask for the opinion of an expert. Nakalagay sa likod ng sub ang 230V~ 50Hz. Not sure if that helps (or if that's the answer). Thanks!

that's it sir..its 220V..and if you purchase it locally then it's 220v..most of the time

if you purchased the unit in a local store and not from a seller who may have purchased it outside the country, then yes it's 220V and as per your post about the voltage indicator in the sub.

Hi guys! Thanks for those who helped me out last time. Now I have another problem. may pinapanood kasi akong movie na encoded sa dolby digital 5.1 yung audio. pag sa ps3 ko pinapanood using optical, lumalabas sa lcd ng z5500 na dolby yung effect.  pag sa pc using optical and media player classic, walang option for dolby digital (plII lang and stereo). mahirap naman itest using 6ch direct kasi yung effect na nakalagay sa lcd ay 6ch direct lang. pano po kaya to? media player? soundcard? 6 channel dapat? and ano po ba mas ok sa pc, optical or 6ch direct?
