i was changing some things in my profile

and then when i tried to save changes it said I had to re-size my avatar coz it was too big

why is that? my avatar has been approved naman before

the exact wording says ...

An error has occurred

Avatar image is too big, please resize it and try again (max 65 x 65)

Hi,

Same goes for me. I would to change my signature footer however I always cannot continue to save because of what was mentioned by Joeypogi on avatar

We highly appreciate your response on this.

YaBB SE is stricter than the old YaBB. It doesn't resize images and it requires you to use files that are exactly 65 x 65 pixels in resolution. When the old board was ported over, it allowed the larger images for compatibility's sake. However, the moment you try to adjust your Profile, it will force you to conform to the 65 x 65 limit.

i have a question pls.

is it just this office pc, or is everyone here having this problem? i can view some of the avatars but some (including mine) are not loading. may square lang with the "x."

and it's inconsistent. on some days, i can see my avatar on some of the threads but the next day, wala. weird.

A lot of the free web hosting sites like Geocities (in your case) and Tripod no longer allow remote access for the files uploaded on their site. This is why you and some other members are not able to display their avatars properly. You sometimes see your own avatar because the image is already in your cache.

I just use the Microsoft Photoeditor.

sir firewired might be able to answer that better... but i'd wager a guess that it doesn't matter since the file should be hosted at a separate site anyway (like imageshack or photobucket).

but please keep the file size small... for dial-up users like myself. a 500+KB gif avatar is waaaaay too much.
