Yup... maganda talaga pag na eliminate mo yung bars na yun.. kasi kahit gaano kaganda yung contrast ma kikita mo pa rin yung bars no matter how dark your room is... i tested putting masking tape sa felt paper to cover the area grabe ang ganda nang result.. the image looks like it's just floating on a black background.. as in wala kang makikita but the image itself lalo na in my case nung nilagyan ko nang black curtains yung likod and surroundings he he he kaya talagang gusto ko i pursue yung adjustable borders he he he..

I know somebody here has a screen with adjustable, just dont know kung DIY yun he he he...

Thanks for the info bro...

Bro, i know i can zoom on the image using the Player's zoom but i loose some left and right area of the image... also digital zoom degrades PQ, maybe not noticeable pero you do loose details he he he...

yes you can zoom it without losing details but it is stretched (not that good PQ but no lost details stretched details nga lang ;D ), kaya nga tanong ko kung ano player gamit mo.
nasanay na ako dito sa config na ito, VLC via htpc you can force it to do 16:9 always regardless of the media.  :)
pag 1080p naman kmplayer pero stretched parin (overscan mode)   8)

btw mukhang OK sayo yung masking system  ;D ;D

Yup just saw your PM, i also thought about that and actually tested using cardboard.. Kaso talagang mas maganda kung Masking border sa screen mismo instead na sa lens.. kasi talagang magiging totally black yung Gray area...

i spent around 7-8k. yung motor ang pinakamahal around 5k, na nakuha ko from the electronic projector screen sa cdrking. eto yun: http://www.cdrking.com/index.php?mod=products&type=view&sid=7418&main=156. the frame and the masks are just styrofoam covered by black felt paper and fortified by several 1/2in x 3in woods, cabinet sliders, strings and hooks.

Naisip ko lang, try mo yun mechanism ng power windows ng mga sasakyan. Daming surplus niyan. You just need a 12v PSU to power it.

Saw this just now.

anong material ang dapat gamitin pang cover sa border? would black cloth do fine or baka mag fade over time?

Found a software solution yang masking in an NMT, recently i discovered sa R6S na puede palang adjust from 100% X, 100% Y to "stretch", yun nga lang medjo mawawala ang aspect ratio mo.

Ayaw ko nang may mawawala sa image or mag zozoom in para lang mawala borders... Iba talaga pag na mask yung borders... Gives you a lot better contrast...

Walang mawawala brader sa image if you will only adjust the Y-axis to about 125%

Works for me all the time :)

This is great! thanks for the link. Sarap pag-aralan lalo na kung old PJ na. Baka i may give a boost or enhancement sa image. I just wonder what other replacements are available kung walang sand blasting glass beads. Will a smaller grit be better?
