Does anyone here already tried using this dvd player? I just saw it in megamall and they said it is divx capable. It cost 3.5k

AFAIK, Ganzklar is made in Germany (or so I knew), as far as the brand could tell, I believe it is more popular than Fukuda.

But I'm reserving my judgement until I had them auditioned both.

Yes, GanzKlar JL 186 is more popular.. but check out the remote and the unit itself.

It's not ergo at all and the remote is the most jologs (ugliest) remote I've ever seen and held.

Plus GanzKlar can't browse folders.. which translates to, you have to reburn your DivX DVDs in case you want to watch it on a GanzKlar.

Fukada is more full featured, looks better and cheaper!! :)

search the forums nalang.

Just some inputs on this player: last week naka display lahat ng ganzklar elex sa Sm southmall, i was there looking for a new dvd-a/sacd/divx capable dvd player, i came across pioneer and tested my divx narutor dvd (downloaded from net), afterwards tested the same dvd to ganzklar......2 dvd on display nila tinest ko, both are choppy and naghahang when playing my divx dvd, but yung pioneer is talagang flawless. Now, the media I used is ridata 8x +r, burned with nero lastest version and verified as well, tested nato with philips 642 and other pc dvd drives, my only concern on displayed ganzklar dvd player is naghahang. Anyone tried this on their divx  files? My advice is before you buy this model, try nyo magplay ng divx movies.......be sure it works fine.  Just my two cents.

Ganzklar is a German brand, but the players and HTIB's sold locally are assembled in China.

With a little cost difference, go for Pioneer! They have models below 4k nowadays.
My Pioneer player is very reliable. Sulit din in the long run. Sometimes,
you'll also pay the price of being "matipid"  ;)
Enjoy what you have!

Short Report:

Up to December 6, 2005 daw, merong exclusive booth ang GANZ KLAR sa ground floor near main entrance ng SM centerpoint/Sta. Mesa.

Four models are being displayed and sold from 2,800 to 3,250 pesos yate.

ALL ARE ALLEGEDLY DIVX CAPABLE AS THEIR ADVERTISEMNT TRAUPULINE HERALDS. Daming bumibili kasi parang lahat are awed by the big DIVX letter on their boxes.

Also being sold are two models of MP3 players. In fairness, the MP3 Players are sleek looking and classy. Unfortunately parang mahal. 2,800 and 3200pesos yata, 128MB pa lang. But physically, guapong guapo.

iyon lang po. Nakita ko ito kahapon, sunday.

5.1? Err I dunno some avi plays, some don't, some have sounds without video. Progressive? Yeah that's the good thing, even if your cd's has scratch marks, they'll still play and you won't notice any chopping of the video. ^_^v smooth parin.. But if i'm really rich I would go for Philips w/ divx capability since I read somewhere that you can upgrade the codec with just a simple burning a cd (with the codec upgrade) and then playing it on the player. Gulo na ng post ko -_-; nevertheless gudluck! : j
