Haven't encountered any at local AV and electronics/electrical shops I've visited so far.  THose spikes often come with the speakers as a stand option.  The closest I've seen at ACA hardware are those polished metal cones used by carpenters to determine true vertical.  (Don't know what they're called.)  They're cheap at about P20 each and will do the job of anchoring the speakers to the floor.  But you have to use strong double sided tapes to mount them under speakers.

It's called a PLUMB but for carpenters it is more popular as plumb bob!

Yup, those are the ones I was referring to.  Nice.  I wonder how you anchored them on the speaker body.

The Plumb has a screw on top where the string can be tied (for vertical levelling). If the body of the speaker is thick, you can use a longer screw to secure the speaker on top of the plumb.

Mukhang maganda nga itong stands for glass racks.

main thing is the isolation of the speaker/stand to the floor.  smaller contact with the floor the better. spikes are also used for leveling your equipment to the floor.  correct me of im wrong.

Correct, the smaller the contact area between speaker and floor, the better.  The facility to adjust the speaker to lay totally level with the floor is another.

Oo nga, pala.   So fixed na yung screw through the speaker body.  And you rotate the plumb under it.  That should take care of horizontal levelling as well.

hardware stores in T. Mapua have generic ones, and it comes in diff. sizes. you would likely find cheaper blobs there.

at that price, you may want to get actual spikes na talaga, check www.Asiastreak.com
click hs spikes under viablue link.
we sell spikes. P350 ea. (the hs ones)  ;D

are speaker spike specs universal, or the screw sections have different sizes? Im planning to get these for my Wharfe 8.4's:

I also used "hulog" for my DIY sub spikes and it made a tremendous impact (for the better). Before, I thought it will only make a difference for bookshelf speaker in a stand. But when placed in my sub, the bass became cleaner (less boom and overhang), tighter and more accurate in producing bass notes. I choose the bigger plumb bob, around 4" high, since my sub box is for a 12" sub. The extra floor clearance and the vibration transfer function of the spikes really made wonders to my sub.  ;)

Plumb Bobs have bolts that has a hole in the middle (where the nylon cord is tied to).  Fasten the bolt onto the base using a wood screw.   Just make the hole on that bolt larger so a wood screw can fit.

Hope this helps.

Plumb Bobs can also be placed on top of your speakers to change/alter the sounstage of your speakers. Placing it at the back will make the singer sound singing further back on the stage and on the front to make your speakers soung more forward.

Try it and you might be amazed on the difference. It could even help you tune the sound that you want.

Totem speakers has these tweak and they call it the Totem Beaks.
