Now that the 2-disc Toy Story: 10th Anniversary Edition re-release has come in, we can immediately confirm some specs and extras without making you wait for a review, which will take quite some time. The feature presentation is offered with a DTS 5.1 track - a Pixar DVD first. Disc One also includes all-new previews for Pixar's Cars (hosted by director John Lasseter) and December's post-Christmas Toy Story 2 Special Edition, new animated menus (a basic text index is provided as well), a new DVD introduction by Lasseter, an Easter Egg of the film's Buzz Lightyear commercial, and the old laserdisc/Ultimate Toy Box audio commentary. The disc's highlight supplement, though, is the brand new 12-minute featurette "The Legacy of Toy Story" which edits together comments from a remarkable roster of important figures in animation and filmmaking at large, including lead voice cast members Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, acclaimed animation directors Brad Bird and Hayao Miyazaki, helmers of cinematic spectacle George Lucas and Peter Jackson, film historians Leonard Maltin and John Canemaker, and Roy E. Disney. Those fearing the loss of the Ultimate Toy Box's "Toy Story Treats" will be glad to know that there are many (exact number to be determined) scattered about Disc 2's menus as Easter Eggs. Among the second disc's bountiful supplements (all 16x9-enhanced) is an unannounced game called "The Claw."
