Speaking of Fox, our industry sources have given us some new information on a few titles currently in the works at the studio. First up, Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven is tentatively set for release in early Fall (think September or October) as a 2-disc theatrical edition. There's also the possibility of a more elaborate 3 or 4-disc edition to follow in 2006, that would feature a longer cut of the film.

....Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven is tentatively slated for release during the first or second week or October as a 2-disc set. We hope to have more details on that soon as well.

the 2-disc edition will be released on October 11. but if there's a 3 or 4-disc extended cut to be released in 2006 as sir hemi earlier stated, then i guess i'd rather wait for that.

We've gotten official word from 20th Century Fox that Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven will street on 10/11, we as predicted in The Rumor Mill a few weeks ago. The 2-disc set (SRP $29.98) will include the film in anamorphic widescreen video (a separate full frame version will also be available), along with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. Extras will include an "interactive production grid" that lets you experience the production process from the perspective of the director, the cast or the crew. Also included will be a text commentary with historical and production notes, several behind-the-scenes featurettes and more (additional features are TBA). The following information isn't official, but industry sources have informed us that a more elaborate 4-disc DVD release MAY follow in 2006, likely featuring an extended version of the film which was extensively cut for its initial theatrical release. Take that as Rumor Mill worthy until we tell you otherwise. We expect to have cover art and additional details on the 2-disc release in the next few weeks.

Fox Home Entertainment has announced the Ridley Scott directed Kingdom of Heaven which stars Orlando Bloom, Liam Neeson, Jeremy Irons and Eva Green. The two-disc set will be available to own from the 11th October this year, and should retail at around $29.98. The film itself will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with both English DTS 5.1 and Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround tracks. Extras will include a text commentary stream consisting of both production and historical notes, synchronous with film, an interactive production grid which allows users to tailor the "Making Of" material to their liking (no less than 16 different ways and approx 125 minutes), a fourty-five minute A&E Movie Real: "Kingdom of Heaven" featurette, and the History Channel's "History vs Hollywood" "Kingdom of Heaven", which runs to around 48 minutes. Completing the package will be a Ridley Scott - "Creating Worlds" featurette, featurettes on the production and wardrobe, an Orlando Bloom "The Adventure of a Lifetime" featurette, trailers, and an inside look at Tristan & Isolde. We have no details on the rumoured extended cut release I'm afraid, but we'll bring you the artwork for this theatrical version shortly.

any news po sa release nung 4-disc edition ng Kingdom of Heaven? Sobrang naglalaway na ako sa 2-disc pero ang gusto ng wifey hintaying daw yung 4-disc, nakibasa kasi habang nagbrowse ako dito eh

Amazon.com is indicating that 20th Century Fox will release Ridley Scott's 191-minute Kingdom of Heaven: Director's Cut on DVD on 5/23 (as a 4-disc set). The studio has yet to release official details on this, but we expect confirmation very soon.

At P52:$1, it comes out only around P1244. But I haven't used my credit card online yet. Medyo cautious kasi ako. Hmmm, thinking...
