My copy from amazon was shipped yesterday along with Dead Again. Delivery estimate is june 30-july 18. Ganun ba talaga katagal yun??Here's crossing my fingers.. this is the first time that i ordered from amazon that i had them delivered to my house.

Wow! I just watched my copy today. The Ridley's cut definitely gave the film more depth. I really couldn't understand why this film bombed in the box office. I enjoyed it even in its original length. And personally, I think this was overlooked by the Academy, at least for the technical aspects.

Was that lenticular, hem? Ridley Scott prefers the theatrical cut in most of his films, but always support the dvd format.

The longer cut I think will definitely give this film a second chance.

Just got my copy of this yesterday. I find the design of the digipak somewhat "fragile" since there two that are not glued on the cardboard, just like what's displayed here in this thread...

that's why i got a lot of copies and no regrets...

the problem was, my cousin from the states will be bringing in 3 more copies at almost the regular price. come to think of it, it was long before the sale price of amazon.com when i bought it from him.

The set is great. But beware the plastic case, which could scratch the discs if you turn the disc while in it.

It's really like that bro to all digipack released. even to some keepcase, once you turn the disc while its in the plastic holder it gets scratched also.

True, but with my KOH set, the plastic case has imperfection, that you can see, that will easily scratch the disc. Without those imperfections, it may still scratch it, but not as easily. I know, because it happened to my Hossiers 2-disc set... at first, I was wondering if my DVD player scratch my discs rather deeply... but close inspection shows that the scratch happens exactly where those imperfections are and sometimes you are tempted to line up the disc with the case art, hence the in-case rotation...

I still haven't watch my set, bought too many new discs recently, and a long movie often get set aside for those long holiday weekends.... so this movie is a candidate for later this week...

Its worth to endure the movie for 3 hours and 14 mins long, future cult classic. Less gore compared to GLADIATOR but the narrative and characterization are neatly fleshed out.

The biggest revelation in this movie are Orlando Bloom & Eva Green. Ridley Scott is the heart, soul and eye of epic filmmaking.

Oh man! What an experience!!!

I've never watched the theatrical release. Blind buy.

But I have to say, this is a very good film. Video transfer is exquisite and audio soundtrack superb. I especially liked the musical intermissions and intros. Parang classic film ang dating. Well worth every peso I paid.

You gonna have sleepless nights pa, jojitv. But its worth every penny once you opened it. And yeah, I liked also the musical intermission on the dvd. I just wish the insert is thick ala-criterion collection.
