yep, that is his alright. kaya medyo nilakihan ko na rin ang picture just to emphasize that thing, Tom Hanks being the Executie Producer.

We have the other version, the one released sometime in 2000? 2001? It's been so long since I saw the DVD. I might have to watch it again, nakalimutan ko na most of the story...am slightly confused between this and Taken, LOL! Ano nga ba story nito? Anyway, maganda yung pagkagawa ng series. And it has many good actors.  Tom Hanks appears on the first and the end of each episode, to introduce and to close it. Tapos if you have Apollo 13 pa, complete na. There's an episode in this series that tells of the other side of the story of Apollo 13, yung the people in the ground/earth while everything was going wrong with Tom Hanks' character's crew in space.
