Last two weeks............yes, now........ Im not sure, call spectra and ask Jim or Nino for separates. Ok ang bipolar ng WH2, good for entry level, ok ang simulation sa matrixed 6.1 ng yamaha.

I have seen the WH-3 in some AV stores recently. I tried to audition one and IMO it didnt sound that good. It sounded like a large transistor radio to me. It maybe because it used metal for the speaker cover instead of cloth. And the surrounds are big and I dont like the design.

I am using WH-2 surrounds now but I plan to upgrade soon or move it to rear back surround. In noisy movies like Air Force 1, there are some scenes where the WH-2 surrounds are "sabog". But of course, Air Force 1 uses surrounds very loudly and extensively, so it doesnt occur often in other DVDs.

Tama ka jan bro matzter, metal nga yung cover nya, very tempting yung offer kasi 4.8k for the center and the sorrounds. Sayang nga lang at d ko na test yung unit. Nakaka lungkot naman yung sinabi mong tunog large transistor, sayang! I tried searching for WH-3 pix and specs pero wala akong makita. Bat kaya???  :-\

Sa itsura ng WH-3 and sa tunog, I would still prefer my WH-2 Center & surround. The bipolar design is really awesome in throwing the ambient sound around the rears!

But thats just me, try to audition it yourself. Maybe the room setup of the store I went to wasnt that good. Or maybe its because he was playing Air Force 1 DVD which usually maxes out your surrounds. Maybe bec the disc was pirated...etc etc.... ;D

Hi KORG, I agree with bumblebee. Get first a decent center speaker to match to your fronts. Better to get same brand and model series for fronts and center. Surrounds will follow later. I think it is only around 15% of sounds delivers from surround spkr in movies and most is on the center channel then fronts.... Happy hunting! ;D Btw, what's your front spkr and amp used? Lots of members here could help you in choosing for a center speaker to match  your fronts.

Just acquired a set of mission speakers so I am selling my WH-2 set:

http://www.pinoydvd.com/board/index.php?topic=34331.0

When I tested it, I noticed that the WH-2 surrounds and Mission speakers are slightly matching in tone.

dude, i have the wh3. pre-ordered it from jose of spectra thinking that it would go one up the wh-2. pagkita ko olats ang swangit ng itsura. but since i planned to use them as side surrounds and rear center surround in the long run anyway, i didn't mind that much sa looks.

for the meantime i've been using the wh-3 center as center until makabili ako ng diamond 9.c to match my diamond 9.4s. i have to say na medyo muddy sya maghandle ng bass.

i don't know if this is an advantage for you, pero sa akin i find the "modified dipole" na design ng wh-3 surrounds useful. 2 tweeters + 1 woofer design nya, with the woofer front firing at yung tweeters angled outwards. i prefer that kahit papano some of the sound points somewhat directly at me at not totally pinatatalbog sa harap at sa likod like your regular dipoles (side surround ko kasi gamit for the meantime)

So, no reviews for WH3.  crazy... tried it myself - couldn't find it either.

Anyway, I'm settled for a WH2.  hahaha... i think I've posted this twice already.

i also use WH-2 as my center speaker, my front speakers are PSB Alpha B, so far they integrate well. btw, i remove the cloth grilles of both WH-2 center & bipole speakers. i think they sound better, if not, look better :)

But then, after talking with some audiophiles, I'm now back to where I started.  I am now more inclined to get Diamond 9 SR - why?

1. I think discreet channelling is better than "scattered" sound coming from dipoles - I'm for DTS more than Dolby.
2. I have Diamond 9 CS, Diamond 9.2.  and just so - nothing can go-wrong.  I'll settle with the last piece for my set - still a Diamond 9 - SR.
3. After having realized that Centers are heavily being utilized (60 - 80%) at a time - more utilized than Fronts and Surrounds, I settled with a "higher" quality center.  I used to amuse myself that you can get three speakers (WH-2) at the same price of those SRs.  But then, is wh2's center speaker worth the investment? or would I end-up upgrading.  Again, the center has become the most important speaker for me already - I got the CS. - Now, I'm saving-up for the SRs.

Just a thought - how come no one is posting anything on WH-3 anymore.

Calling out WH-3 owners - is anyone there?  From the looks of it, I think I've read more reviews on WH-2 than WH-3 and to think, WH-3 is higher model - by default, we should say : better quality?  :)

Be easy on the rebuttal.

The WH-3 is only newer, not necessarily higher model.  ;)
