Exported Filipino Soaps
« on: Jul 30, 2005 at 12:49 AM »
Last year, I went to Siem Reap and I had lunch at a restaurant infront of the Angkor Wat. There was a TV there and many Khmers were watching it. I noticed familiar faces mouthing the Khmer language.

They were watching Kristine Hermosa and Jericho Rosales!

My Khmer guide told me that they are quite popular in Cambodia. I felt very proud.

I am just surprised that ABS is not telling people about it. If I did not know about this, I just might think that nobody else can appreciate the things that we do here. So it is not only Korea and Taiwan that exports soaps. By the way, Thais also export their soaps.

According to my wife, Jericho Rosales is very very popular in other Asian countries because of these soaps. They are even preparing limited edition Jericho Rosales magazines that will be exported to these countries.

::) I am not very sure about "Marina" being exported to Mexico or some Latin American countries.

My friend was in KENYA and Pangako Sa Yo was being shown on TV. Wow! That's something to be proud of. A Filipino show in an African nation.

ABS CBN is geared for world-domination. I wonder if they are paying the right amount of taxes because some of their projects are not publicly announced.
