Actually, the driving force behind this thread is to provide a comprehensive list of DVD movies that were produced in the Philippines. Since these DVDs aren't listed anywhere else, what better place to list them than in PinoyDVD?

Apparently, some of the submitted titles can't be considered to be produced locally so I guess I'm going to have to edit the list to separate the locally produced DVDs from the others.

As such, I'll make another thread listing DVDs that concern the Philippines (be it subject matter, director, actor or even mentions our country) and I'm sure your submission will find its home there.

Bagong Bayani is the better Flor Contemplacion movie.

Could be available in ACA Video.

Ok yun Ha!!!!meron na rin sa wakas,diba first film ni Lino Brocka on DVD Format.kung gusto nyo ng complete Filipino Films on DVD format punta lang kayo sa O MUSIC VIDEO 3/R The Powerplant Mall
Rockwell center Makati,they have the most up to date titles on Filipino Films on any format and Foreign Titles as well.

I went to Astro in Virra and they are selling their Tagalog DVDs for 450. Just want to share but Im not sure if this is new or have been going on for a long time.

yup, the salespeople at astro mega said the tagalog dvds were going on sale for P450 starting feb 1.

Just saw "Pangako... Ikaw Lang" on DVD at AstroVision today. It's also on Sale at Php450.

I checked the back cover to see the features and listed there are the following: FREEVIEW (which is VIVA's term for trailer--I read that in another thread) and MTV. I'm assuming that's Regine's music video for Ogie Alcacid's song she remade entitled "Pangako". I haven't checked the quality of the DVD though.

Guess the long wait is over for you guys!

Nakita ko rin ito kahapon. At talagang nagulat ako. Mas mahal pa kaysa sa Criterion ang mga yun ha.

Napagkamalan siguro nilang VHS yun. Kasi ganoong price lagi ang new release VHS nila.

hindi lang sa astrovision, sale ang mga DVD's tagalog.. pati sa Video City..
btw i bought the Pangako.. ikaw lang... nothing different. this is better than vcd's... one movie (plus extra features plus subtitles) in one disc..

I'm afraid, they won't release these in PI. Masyado raw controversial. Lalo na't sarado ang isipan ng tiga VRB. Walang pag asa. Kaya kung trip mo ang movie na nabanggit. Bilhin mo na on-line.

barrid, I haven't seen the three Regal releases here in Manila, not even in Astro. I also haven't seen any other online shop carry the titles (yet). I'm assuming that these DVDs are being pressed in the U.S.

Lumalabas palang exclusive release ng Regal ang mga DVD ha kaya ganoon na lang kataas ang presyo.

Not even our local video rental store can afford that price. So, i will just settle in watching 'em on VHS. Kapag hindi ko nagustuhan ang movie. Sorry na lang.
