The 684 is a very forgiving speaker. It sounds good with most components.

684 should be fine with the Onkyo 616. I am currently using that receiver with a CM9 and its really great for my small living area..

Mga Sirs,

Recently got a pre owned B&w 601 S3 and LCR60 from fellow Pdvd member.
Question: what specific brand and model AV receiver would you recommend for this speaker in
HT setup for 60/40 music/movie application?
Will use polkaudio sub dsw660i and look for a better surround match nalang later.

Since its a mix between HT and audio i can suggest 2 brands that i heard first hand, marantz b&w and onkyo b&w. both sounded ok with me. A b&w pioneer mix also sounded neutral but lacked a bit on the low end, but that could also be the result of a weak amp.

bw is best paired with marantz and rotel avr...
but you may try other brands..dalhin mo nalang ung speaker mo for audition

Assuming I have a choices from this model Onkyo TX NR616, Marantz SR5006, Pioneer VSX 1121, Yamaha RX V673 and Denon AVR 2113. Which one do you suggest?

I also preferred playing digital music via usb port.

At the very least the front and center speakers should be a match from the same series.

Nice. I see that it is using the CM10 tweeter now. I sure hope the CM5 sound trickled down the new 600 series Bookshelf. If it did, I'll defintely get a set

Talked to TOYAMA, distributor of B&W here. According to them no specific date yet when it will be available in our shores but sometime mid year daw. One thing is sure that the price will be more than the current ones.
