Hi guys,

parang nakikita ko na maganda talaga ang B&W S3 but what if we compare them sa bagong labas naman ng Mission M5 series? based on your experienced B&W ba or Mission M5 series is a good one?

the price diferrence is not much naman. kasi i'm planing to buy a good speaker systems with complete pati center and surround. kaya lang sa B&W wala sila wall mounted model para ma completo and setup but in M5 series its all complete.

any good suggestion?

I was able to listen to the 601 S3 and 602 S3 courtesy of Mr S Tuason at the Hometheater. Great sounding speakers. Just my 1 cent.

Hi I'm from Sydney, Australia ang set up ko dito e naka B&W 602 series 2 for the front, naka CC6 series 2 for the center channel at saka naka 601 series 3 for my rear. I'm happy with the B&Ws ang reklamo ko lang hindi na pulido ang gawa nila ng series 3, iyung cabinet may mga bulutong sa likod compared sa 602 series 2 ang laki ng difference but as far as the sound is concerned the speakers sound beautiful specially when I play my Kenny Rankin DVD.

hi! honestly, i was already bent on getting Wharfedale Diamond 8.3 for my two-way front speakers until i saw your comments. just this morning i passed by park square and i was able to very quickly do a side-by-side audition for the 601 S3 and the Diamond 8.1 and... boy, was i impressed by B&W. suerte ako dahil they were using exactly the same AVR that i have. although d ako na-disappoint sa Wharfs, nagulat ako sa kakayanan ng 601 - sobrang lambot ng lows at napakalinaw ng mid at highs compared to the Wharfs! naisip ko tuloy pag-ipunan ko na lang yung B&W.

here's my question: do you think that the P5k extra that one will pay for the 601 vs. the dm303 is worth it? what about the 600 S3, mas mahal lang ito ng mga 2K or less sa DM303 pero naka-kevlar. i saw in bwspeakers.com that its designed for rears pero puede din daw siyang fronts. woofer lang ba ang superiority ng 600 line as 303? considering na pati LCR-60 or 600 daw ang match for the 600s, worth it kaya pag-ipunan?

anybody using 602.5s2's? anong pinagkaiba nito sa 603s2? both are floorstanders, and looking at their pictures, parang parehas lang.

tried looking for specs, pero wala eh, kahit sa b&w site.

might be able to get them for around 15K pesos 2nd hand in good condition, so i'm considering if it's a good deal or not.

i think walang 602.5 S2. ang alam ko sa S3 lang merong 602.5.

i think the difference of 602.5 with 603 is that 602.5 only has 2 speakers (1 tweeter, 1 mid) while 603 has 3 speakers (1 tweeter, 1 mid, 1 woofer). 602 and 602.5 are almost the same. 602 is just a bookshelf type while 602.5 is a floorstander.

try checking again sa B&W site. they have complete specs of the S3's. but they have removed the specs of the S2's. if you do need the specs of the S2's if have the specs of 601, 602, 603 and 604 in pdf format.

But their price difference is very different. Yung 15k na speakers which model is it? the 603s2 or the 602.5s3?

thanks thames! you got that right na yung 602.5s3 is just a 601s3 na floorstander.

yung 15k na nabanggit ko is a 602.5s2. 2nd hand price yun ha. actually mga 14k lang dapat, pero ung 1K is for transportation (mahal kasi umarkila ng van dito eh

i'm still trying to decide whether i should get it and if it's a good deal, so i was trying to get the specs. no luck in searching for it online, although i know it exists (some reviews in http://www.audioreview.com have some people mentioning it as part of their system.

I have the DM601 S3 and LCR60 S3 connected to Harman Kardon 2000.

The LCR60 S3 sounds very clear and great with movies dialouge and concerts or just listening to music by diana krall, steve tyler, anita baker, etc on 3-stereo.

I also heard this setup connected to a Onkyo SR600. Try Hyperaudio. I think he still has the setup there. Even Rene likes the B&W 600 Series.

just got the news that the prices of B&W speakers
will increase effective oct. 1; by how much i'm not yet
informed. so if you are planning to buy any B&W
speakers, get them now.
