Best Buy has an "exclusivity window," and it's the only place you can buy the DVD from July 26-September 20. But from what I know (please correct me if I'm wrong), their version is a 4-disc set that does not include the launching mini-series - just the 13 episodes of the first season. The opening credits are also different from the Sci-Fi Channel version, and the only special feature is (are?) deleted scenes.
The retail version for all other stores is a
5-disc set, includes the 4 hour miniseries, and has the following special features:
1. Commentary Tracks
2. Behind the Scenes
3. Deleted Scenes
4. Battlestar Galactica Series Lowdown
5. Sketches and Art
So for a
cheaper price, you get
much more.
Worth the wait, huh?
