Sino si "papayless"? I was about to buy the internal parts for the pc build then I realized hintayin ko na yung ibang Skylake processors & mobo ma-release. Halos pareho lang naman ng price ng Haswell & mas future proof pa.

Ahaha ang slow ko di ko nakuha yung paypayless!

Sayang din kasi brader, the new Skylake processors have lower TDP so less heat, for example the current Haswell i5 has TDP of 84W while the Skylake i5 is 65W. Aside from that it has a bigger L1 & L2 cache and utilizes the faster DDR4 RAMs. Important yang mga yan when I play with DSD upsampling

Anak ng patis... puro FLAC pa din ako eh! Pero di bale, magpakabihasa kayo sa DSD para ako naman ang magpapaturo sa inyo braders!

hahaha puro FLAC din sa akin pero may ilan-ilang DSD na rin, but with HQPlayer you can convert your flac to dsd on the fly & reports say it sounds very good. Even guys from diyaudio are saying good things about HQPlayer, in fact may niluluto dun na hw specifically for dsd...The problem is you need a PC with a lot of grunt, cpu intensive ang conversion. It brings i7 rigs to its knees if you get carried away. Susubukan ko, it's the next step in the digital domain and closer to analog daw talaga brader.

Gino, it's the same PC, I'm going to do the upsampling in moderation naman. Yung iba kasi masyadong na-excite, upsampling from red book file to dsd512

Thanks, still has a lot more capabilities to explore. I recently got a wide range of milling bits to try.

Spent a couple of evenings with the xmos in my system, it's very revealing, kamukha nun converter sa frontend ng AKM dac natin. Background is so quiet, at pagdating sa imaging it's a winner. The instruments are very well defined, fast or slow music walang problema. Ang problema lang ngayon mahirap masanay dito.

Although I find my Burr Brown PCM27XX equipped usb to spdif having a more robust bassline, mas malutong ang bass niya kasi mas defined sa xmos. Naiwan lang talaga sa details. I'd keep it muna (in the meantime?

), may rta naman to deal with it.

All in all it's a worthy project and I'm happy I had the time and privilege to play with it.

Walang mains outlet sa sementeryo, yun mga cheapo power banks naman namin good for one charge lang, minsan kapos pa... this solved the problem!

It can simultaneously charge two phones at the same time no problem and it uses a lipo battery that I originally use for my drones.
