Sir JojoD, na-mention sa ibang thread yung linear PSU for improving PQ and SQ ng HT. Request lang sana ako ng refresher short course tungkol dun, at yung difference nya sa line filters. Salamat!
Seminar? Matagal na ako di nag teach eh
Joke
If you consider the principle, power in is equals to power out, it follows the norm that whatever we feed our gears has an adverse effect on it's performance.
It's like feeding a person junk food while feeding another with nutritious food, you get the idea.
Every power supply undergoes a conversion which contains nasty things we don't want. These unwanted product, plus the ability (or inability for that matter) of the power supply to respond to current draws creates a noise that can adversely affect (sometimes even through modulation) the precious signal we all try to reproduce. The effects varies, analog and digital circuits respond to these differently.
Line filters on the other hand are like what the name says, it filters line noise and prevents it to reach our equipment. Unfortunately, no amount of line filtering can remedy a poor power supply, it's just far too late and beyond it's reach.
Oh well, I hope you get the gist of what I'm saying, sorry I really hate typing.
