@ komiksboy, congrats sa pagbili mo ng rega rp1! Ganda nyan. What color kinuha mo?

Yung rega brio-r best amp for that pero mahal din. Pero madami dyan na ok na 2nd hand dedicated stereo amp for turntable talaga. Hanap hanap ka na lang.

budget minded lng sir thinking using an MC would spend much kaya i just use MM since. Currently im using AT95b with rega fono mini and i dont like the sound. i would guess mismatch ng cart sa phono stage? Budget wise what would be a good MC cart and a phono stage with my TT?

You can start w/ an MF XLP, XLPS or VLPS for starters...if you have additional budget, you can also opt to choose a Lehmann Black Cube SE...as for MC Carts, you can't go wrong with a Denon DL-103 or 103R...you may want to also consider Benz Micro MC Gold...

Thanks!

Giving us an idea of your estimated budget so that recommendations closer to your budget can be made.

For MM, you also have Ortofon and Grado as good candidates.

For a budget phono preamp, I have used a modded MF VLPS and had very good results especially if connected to a DC battery for power supply.  MF VLPS is already MM and MC capable.  But if you have resources to purchase in Singapore or the US, I would highly recommend the iFi Phono, also MM and MC capable.

budget minded lng sir thinking using an MC would spend much kaya i just use MM since. Currently im using AT95b with rega fono mini and i dont like the sound. i would guess mismatch ng cart sa phono stage? Budget wise what would be a good MC cart and a phono stage with my TT?

Depends on you...if you're the lazy type and would sleep right after a few songs then auto is OK...

Kung automatic, baka meron yung Thorens dealer dito para brand new. Pero syempre mas maganda manual.

I have no MC cart pa pero once I go there I would go for a step up transformer
