sir, AVrcvr doesn't have pre-outs. is there a way to hook up a separate amp. for front channel duty? tnx

If u want separate amp for your fronts -- maybe u can simply hook ur front connectors to the amp of your choice. but i think this will only be possible if u use the analog connections of your player and not the digital which will go directly to your avrrcvr.

sir jerix, dats my problem - no front preouts from AVrcvr. normally connection would b front pre-out from avrcvr to main-in of power /int. amp. tnx

no bro -- i mean the front analog out from ur dvd player to go directly to the amp. but your center and surrounds to the avr u have there. but this will only be operational if u use the analog signal of your dvd.

jerix..thanx ur rite but i want to use digital out of dvd. the avrcvr will only function as preamp/processor coz the front channel L/R duty will b taken care of by a separate amp. thru the pre-outs. unfortunately my avrcvr doesnt have front pre-outs.

if this is the case m afraid u cant do anything more other than surgery of the avrcvr  just wait however, somebody out there may be able to give u better solution to your case

jerix...i tink case closed gona make do with avrcvr+dvd for ht and dvd(analog out)+amp for music... thanxalot cheers!
