Thanks oweidah! Oo nga, heaven na heaven ako. Di ko na expect ang laki ng difference ng tunog nito. So nirvana everytime I hear the extended resolution given by this CDP.

Pwede but di ko pa na try. Ang ganda kasi ng effect ng tube nya so di ko ma switch.

Sa receiver: connect SS out & Tube out to 2 analog ins and just switch between the 2 to hear the diff.
Sa tube: connect the SS out & Tube out to CD and aux, then switch between the 2 for an AB test.

I came from Jetok's house last night with New Age. These tweak experts opened up the CDP and found:
Solen caps
PCM 1732 burr brown
Op amp bur brown 2604
Rubicon electrolytic caps
Philips Transport
Dual Tranny
Single tube 6n3.

All high quality parts with excellent construction. All aluminum body with detachable cover w/c I can change to a see through plexi glass cover. Very heavy aluminum remote too.

Jet says the CDP uses the same DAC & some parts as his new Rotel 1070 cdp.

Visited the Imatz theater yesterday and found (and heard) some realizations in my quest to achieve HT nirvana.  But before that, Matt toured us around his condo unit.  Living in the province , we are used to living with so much space in hand.  But through Matt's talent and ingenuity, his unit possesses the coziness, functionality, and design that you would desire for condo living.  Not much space of course, but definitely far off from getting the feeling of "living in a box".  Kudos Matt....galing ng mga diskarte mo!! 

I have expectations when I was about to audition Matt's HT.  Not much in video coz we have the same projector.  But hearing Matt's  bi-amped missions powered by an external amp is like waking up to a nightmare that I really couldnt hate.  Words to describe IMatz' HT would be crisp and detailed mids/highs and tight bass .

"Clean power" is something that have played my mind in an orbit the past few weeks.  I guess after the audition, I really would have to get myself a power amp, somewhere..somehow...sometime.  Matt, nung pinaringgan mo ko with my wife there in ricky's place, pag uwi namin, and I slightly mentioned it to her (the amp), she was quite receptive....buti na lang!!

Salamat Rony! Oo nga, kakahawa yung 2 idol ko sa audio. Pero someday somehow, darating din tayo sa tube power amp, Pag at least 6 years old na anak ko (baka mapaso kasi & accident prone)

Salamat sa review bro  . Dont forget the mids, they were outstanding specially on the T-rex roar demo I showed you. Di kaya ng subs ang ganun kabilis na sipa in between ng R-R-R-R. Approximately 200w-250w ang power nyan on all 3 front channels.

 I was also trying to convice Lai..in a way (thru parinig).. to spend now cuz iba na gastos pag may baby na. I can also sense in you that you really want a power amp. And since kunyari ka pang can't afford  ...masasabi ko lang, wag na pakipot. Bili na. Para tapos na SARS, no more sleepless nights.

Marv it wont be long naka BI-AMP  ka na din Iba talaga yung naka ext. power amp pero mas IBA pa din yung naka BI-AMPED yung speakers mo For me its not just the loudness that you have to consider but the details in every sound a scene makes thats more important,sawa na ako sa explosions Mas critical ako sa detail kasi dahil medyo oldie na Congrats marv, sulit talaga yung viaje mo and yung constant parinig ni Matt kahit na tinext mo kami be-fore-hand na wag magbabangit about the gears Matabil talaga si matt eh Walang preno kung bumanat ;DGood for you

Marvs, panoorin mo uli yung Domino DTS-ES pag nak bi-amp ka na w/ Rotel. Rinig na rinig mo lahat ng detail -glass break, pag hulog ng bullet shell, etc. Its my HF reference DVD.

Ano ba pipiliin mo? 2x130w? 6x60w or 5x120w? Pero mas recommended ang 6x60w for me, then bridge mo na lang to 3x130w for the fronts & center. 

Kung hindi sayang lang 2 channels pag 5x120w kunin mo. Bi-amping the surrounds is kalokohan IMHO. Di naman sya "critical" eh , di ba?

Since may 1075 ka na by then all you need is another Stereo amp like the 1070 to power the fronts (good for both audio-video ). And mas madali idispose yung 5 channel compared to 3(bridge) or the 6(lower wattage) kung gusto mo na full upgrade(1077) mas flexible yung 5 channels pare later on And sino ba nagsabi na sayang lang i-bi-amp ang surrounds since hindi naman ito critical? Pare very famous na yang hindi critical na surrounds mo,baka marami na maniwala syo

Grabe!  1075 na, plus 1070 pa! Debil talaga!

Anyway, for me, the best config would be the 6x60 first. Then bridge to 3 for the 3 fronts. If you are going into separates, just buy a 1070 (2x130), use it for the fronts, then bridge 2 channels of the 6x60 for the center, then use the remaining 4x60 for surrounds. Kayang kaya na yung 60w,  surrounds lang naman...di naman critical. 

Anyway Marvs, Si debil Ricky rin nag convince sa akin kunin yung Rotel amp, I consulted with him a lot before I bought it. Wala lang ako magawa so nagexperiment ko mag bi-amp and nagulat ako sa result.

I just came from a HT store just now and I heard the Yamaha 1500 w/ the very familiar DTS demo #9. IMO kulang sa details yung highs and mids compared to the bi-amp config (w/ Rotel).

Maraming salamat pare. Malapit na matapos ang evolution ng Ht na to. Mga 2 minor upgrades na lang balak ko & accessory related lang sila & not gears.

Thanks for visiting Andy & Rony. Sayang sobrang bitin yung kwentuhan & session natin dahil na late kayo cuz of traffic. Dami pa naman natin kwento tungkol sa mga di dumating...wink wink . Yung mga wala yung pinag tsismis eh no. LOL. Joke only wag ma conscious H***, N***, etc. 

At ayaw nyo pa inumin yung beer! mukhang magtatagal ito dito sa ref since di naman ako umiinom.   

Ok kasi BI-AMP, ganda ng effect sa HT and ni BI-amp na rin audio setup kasi lower sensitivity (88db) yung speakers ko.
