Further Details
Lucasfilm and Fox Home Entertainment have released artwork for a limited edition Star Wars Trilogy set. The three-disc package will be available to own in both widescreen and full screen editions from the 6th December this year. Each should set you back around $49.98. As far as we know these will be the special editions only I'm afraid! Each film will carry a THX enhanced English Dolby Digital 5.1 EX track, along with an audio commentary for each film, and easterggs.

3 Discs? Wala yung bonus materials disc?

Its limited probably because its the equivalent of a comic book release with an alternate cover. What collectors would call a ' VARIANT! " Doesnt look like much.It's not even the original HILDERBRANT BROTHER's painting!

this i'm definitely and absolutely going to pass up!

lucas should go to hell for just even thinking of releasing another version and fool the fans to spend more money

If these arent the pre-Special Edition trilogy then Lucas is of need of making more money from rabid fans.

Haven't read about anything on this but as per sir hemi's post these might only contain the Special Editions that were released in theaters in 1997. Many fans didn't agree with Lucas tampering again with the Special Edition movies of the 'Holy Trilogy' ( ;)) release that they resisted buying the previous set. Maybe Lucas released this for them. I might get suckered into this one coz I still prefer the original ending of ROTJ. Haaaay! Star Wars fans are made to suffer, it's our lot in life. ;D

Early reports say that this set will contain the same editions previously released last year just without the bonus 4th disc. So this just looks like a variant cover of the early release.  ??? Labo!
