« on: Oct 03, 2006 at 09:35 PM »

 ;D ;D ;D

humidity causes moisture pre.  Aircon units produces dry air, so I think, no problem with storing your DVDs in a airconed room.  If you're afraid that you DVDs might develop moisture, you can use anti moisture or desecants (hope the spelling is right).  These are the ones being used to remove moisture from your shoes.

There's a particular thread about this already.

Maybe the mods can direct you to it.

Hope this helps.

thanks and more power!  ;)

Ok thanks very much.. I read some in the dvd rot thread. Ya its so painful if our collections can get damaged from these conditions. I read from Dvd Review magazine that ya these dvds wont last forever, parang layers fade as time goes. Sometimes makes me wonder or think if its worth it to keep buying original and usually we only watch it once.

hi raymond, you could try going to waltermart in chino roces, sa supermart nila just look around, meron sila dating binebenta na re-usable desecant. after a few months use yata just throw it in the microwave for a few seconds then its good for use again. ;)
