do you really need 400volt rated caps in there? there are lots of other caps at the Raon sidewalks, 50 volts dc caps are aready big for this application...... ;)

bro try Panasonics FC 2400uF sa supply caps m.. Then use the battery compartments for input caps.. Max out na ung dta1... :) since na 1 lng ang power caps ng dta1 its ok to use one 2400uF its sufficient but if you really want more no problem you can parallel 2 caps.. As per mesurements 1 2200uF will give you flat bass response down to 30Hz.. It will give you more bass more soundstage more channel separation..
Tama!  Tried and tested na yan.  I tried other cheap caps with high value, pero iba pa din ang tunog ng may quality.  It's like Samsung LED TV vs.  Coby LED TV, mas malinaw ang Samsung. :)

Excuse me good guys, in your own opinion/experience, which is the best T-amp for a Wharfedale Diamond 10.1? Thank you! ;D

Hi Valiente, the Dayton DTA-100a seems to partner well with wharfedales, try and audition them at the shop. :)

flat down to 30hz, mukhang maganda yan ah...  :) kapag ginawa yung tweak na ito at inaalis mo yung bottleneck sa bass, does that mean the amp will distort earlier?

on stock kasi bass starts to attenuate at 100hz, since bass is attenuated you should be able to go louder tama ba? unlike yung tweaked version where in down to 30hz frequency response is flat that should add extra strain sa amp since its going to be producing more bass and so you wont go as loud?

I tested it bro.  It depends on the limit of speakers. Beyond that my speakers will clip. You can notice it if you play bass music.  Kaya kapag naka hi value good quality capacitor with low ESR, safe siya. Hangga't di ka nag over sa required or ideal PSU as per tripath, walang masusunog na tripath chip.  Di  ba sir? Kapag ganito kataas na value gamit sa tripath 2024, parang solid state na din siya sa dynamics at limitation sa volume control which is 1 o'clock.  But the SQ is beyond what I expected.  Satisfaction guaranteed.;)

In addition to this, we should not be after on how loud it will play, but the quality of music it will bring.

http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/datasheet/Tripath/mXyzxwwt.pdf
http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/datasheet/Tripath/mXwtryv.pdf
page 2 - 12V power supply (not to exceed 13.2V)

im using zebra 12v6a psu, measured at 13.2v sakto lang  :D

bigger caps mean bigger room the cap will never run out of steam.. But for the loudness i really cant say its not the caps its more on the gain side "resistors".. First do the cap upgrade also the PSU 12v 3A is perfectly fine.. Panasonics are fairly small will fit in paralell with the board..

Noted sir. ;)  TA2024 ko CD R King M series multi volts but good quality. 12v. to 24v 4.5a max. :)

yup depende sa PSU, i've tried the sure TK2050 board with the PS of yung Dayton DTA-100a, maayos naman ang bass, sasabay sa solid state. :)

err, don't get me wrong po pero malaking factor is yung speaker mismo sa bass kasi sa dta-1 palang busog na sa bass yung Titus BS ko..just my 2 cent. ;)

Tama, different drivers (woofer, midbass driver) has a different sound or bass characteristic, so pag mahina mag bass o di maganda mag bass, wag na iasa sa amplification instead sumubok ng iba hanggang mahanap mo yung gusto mong sound characteristics.

Proper matching is very important in choosing the right amp.  We must also be aware of the freq.response of the speakers itself.  If we see the speaker freq.response is 30hz (lowest bass it can produce in the speaker cabinet) - 18khz...means it has good bass.  If the wattage and sensitivity of your speakers and a simple room acoustics (like having thick curtain and carpet flooring, proper positioning of speakers and vice versa) can help us achieve good performance from our audio system. Kaya nga ako may XLO Test and Burn CD to know if I am hearing right. :)

Bonus na lang iyong treated room to have better listening session. :)

How does Dayton DTA 1 sounds like when upgraded with 10,000uf Panasonic capacitor and paired with Apple I pod shuffle only???

Here is the You Tube Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfKyYVTaLsA

Warning: If you use 10,000uf Capacitor for the DC Power of tripath, do not exceed 12 o'clock if the recording is in good quality.  Exceeding from the said limit will clip the speakers esp.if 25 watts.  (watch the video and listen when my Bose HVC clips).  That is why I adjust it to 12 o'clock max.from previous setting which was 1 o'clock.  Increasing the DC Power cap value gives better details, and soundstage and also increase the output/gain.

Thanks for watching.  ;)

All of the above. just proper tweak, good passive amp and good matching single driver full range speaker. :) When I heard the Omega FR using Trends comboSE T-amp. No words to described how good the sound was....
