Salamat, any suggestion sa brand, san makakabili at how much ang mga Tube Buffer or tube line amp?

Useless reference material.

Sa ebay look for Indeed Hi-Fi Labs brand t-amps.  May mga P2000-3000 shipped by ordinary mail. I got thr old TA-2024 t-amp. Very well balanced when used sa same system ko in my Gallery.

^^ agree as well

BUT if the computer you're using is connected to your audio system it will at least give you a hint of the dynamics of the sound, plus there are some guys in youtube who does a decent job in recording like this one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdAe9PdwLV0

just make sure you select 720p or higher quality  ;)

Yes. Pero that's only half of the story. We also have to consider the ADC & mic used to record the music as well. Napakadaming klase ng recording mics used by studios for different purposes.

Hindi ba pwede gumamit ng decent headphone at kahit papaano maririnig mo naman yun dynamics at imagine ng nasa youtube, pero still iba parin yun nasa harap ka.

I do have a friend kahit day and night na yun SQ sa kanya parang same parin.

Siguro malaki lng expectation ko sa T-amp para drive ang isang maliit na BS w/ 85db. need talaga ng mataas na sensitivity...

agree sir that's why I said "hint", you don't decide on something just because of a hint, you want the whole truth of everything  ;D

Pwede headphones BUT it will help you better kapag naka-attach sa sound system mo esp if you have a decent outboard DAC, we all know most computers/laptop have soso DACs.

I used to own a Topping TP22 which uses the TK2050 tripath chip @ 22wpc, DIY Paradise Charlize 1 w/ TA2020 chip @ 10wpc & a friend lend me for a couple of months his Topping TP60 w/ TA2022 @50wpc. The best sounding for me is DIY Paradise Charlize, I didn't have speakers to properly match with it back then & I regret selling it.

Sir Tony, it's a figure of speech hence " you don't decide on something", wasn't even referring to audio hobby.

cheers!

I have B&O ASX125 @ mono or bridged mode and as per specs gives 250Wpc @ 8Ohms and 500Wpc @ 4Ohms this is a T-amp right? Speaker sensitivity then is not an issue with mine and like it driving my Harbeths. So if your speakers are hard to drive just look for higher power chips, a lot in ebay and aliexpress, that's what I do and plan to make a 7ch ice power amp for HT.

quick question... I recently ordered a T-Amp online: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008BW9K6E/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, Stellar Labs 15Wx2 and did not see that there was no power adaptor included.

I tried checking Watts HiFi in MCS, and they didn't have any adapters available, and pointed me to WalterMart where I can pick up any universal power adapter daw... Will there be any problems with the output if yung universal adapter nga ang gagamitin?

I ask because I could still just order a matching adapter online (partsexpress) if it would still be a better choice... thanks!

not so OT: seems interest in the TAmps has finally faded... hehe

What chip is used in the Stellar Labs?

The thing with tripath chips is that their supply ratings are typically about 12V-13.2V and comes with a maximum Vs of 14.5V.

Those regulated power supplies sold in hardware stores and in Raon are set to output a standard 13.8V. Technically, this already exceeds the typical 13.2V but since you are still within 14.5V then you may or sometimes may not get away with it.

Those unregulated power supplies, also sold in hardware stores and in Raon can have a no-load voltage output of 16V, not a very good proposition but still, some gets away with using these.

Some will argue with this, I won't. But what I said above is a reality and breaching this settings is almost always the cause for premature failure of these little amps. What you need is either get a linear or smps power supply that has a no-load output voltage of 12V to be within the safe operating area of the chip. There are 12V smps supplies in sulit that you can adjust to exactly get 12V, all you need is a DC plug with wire and an AC main plug. This may be daunting for inexperienced tweakers so I think your option to order a decent 12V wallwart is a much wiser thought.

Cheers

thanks for the replies! further research shows that it is using a TA2024B chip... so I guess I'll go ahead and order a PX wallwart, per master JojoD...

another thing, will this have enough space for a Binding Post mod? and meron pa bang gumagawa nito? haha... muchos gracias and happy new year!!!

That chip has an absolute maximum rating of 16V, however, operating conditions states a maximum of 13.2V sir so ordering the proper psu would be your first wise decision for 2014. :)

OR, if you are the guy with idle hands then you may also use a pc psu, just wire the green wire to any ground and get the 12V and feed that to your t-amp.

A worthy cheap mod would be to slap one of these to the chip... they're available in most cdr king outlets.

Cheers

I have a Logitech Bluetooth receiver, works well with my Baby G and Wharf SR speakers. Good enough for quickie music solution.

Anyone had tried this T-Amp based on TDA 7498? Tempting to buy one, I just bumped on this at a computer/gadget shop in Gilmore. Your comments and inputs are very much appreciated.

update:

got my casing from the powder coating shop, the amp itself is already tested and confirmed good.....

sir ton, mag 2 years na pala tong amp ko :)

one of my better audio investments, iirc.

spoiled yung tenga ko sa 2A3 + altec fullrangers so i didn't really have high hopes with this amp's performance when i requested sir tony to build this amp.

plan ko lang sana was to use this for casual listening/back-up amp.

but i was really surprised at the potential of this amp when i tried it in my system. none of the harshness/forwardness usually associated with ss amps.

not as sweet sounding as the 2A3 but eerily similar.

no regrets ako for this amp.
