saw two copies sa Astro SM North 550 each. muntik ko na kinuha yung isang copy, pagbalik ko dun sa saturday and nandun pa yun most likely kukunin ko na yun

Got my copy just this morning at Landmark, problem is when I play it at home I cannot turn off the subtitle. Changing to another language was possible but not turning it off(using the menu). This is one of those copies that cannot change the subtitle during playback but only on the menu.
Im pretty sure that my DVD player is working well because I was able to turn off the subtitle when playing a different title (incredibles R1).

Any advice? Has anyone experienced the same problem? Should I have the disc exchange?

Yup, same here. Is this one of those oops-not-again thing? Maybe this is the price of getting it at 550 bucks.

probably this is the trend of fox's dvds. I bought Titanic when it was still at P900 at ganun din ang na experience ko. Same thing with Robots, hindi pwede palitan or i-off subtitles. Pero di lang fox dvds ang may ganito situation. I remember my Spiderman 1 dvd, hindi rin pwede magpalit ng audio at subtitle.

Then I forgot to visit landmark... haay sana meron pa pagbalik ko ng makati...

Sir, just for clarification. I was able to change to another subtitle using the menu but not turning the subtitle off.

thanks for the info guys. checked out my copy and same problem. can't control the subtitle also.

What can be done is turn off the substitle at the start in options. at least may way to turn it off.

Tried it on landmark using ther Pioneer player and it work perpectly!!!

Recently bought this edition and watched it a few days ago. Grabe ang haba ng movie, more than 3 hours yata, but I didn't notice it until after the movie. I remember when I first watched Titanic years ago, the special effects were really ground breaking.

I regret watching the alternate ending in this edition's special features. It sort of destroys the mood of the whole movie. Better to see it on another time instead of right after watching the movie.

Considering that this release was already a very good value at P900 and it seems that it failed to sell as they are already discounting it, it seems that there is little support here locally for quality dvd releases.
