Well it's not on DVD, but I watched Bent. It's a touching story of gays in a WWII Nazi concentration camp, starring Clive Owen (of BMW's The Hire) and Ian McKellen. It's only available on VHS (no news of the DVD yet) unfortunately.

bent is kinda too serious for me. i'm lookin for some lite stuff. yea, i guess you could call crying game a gay flick. but unlike the gay titles i'm looking for, this one crossed over to mainstream cinema.

Would the Kevin Kline In and Out movie classify as mainstream? What about Priest? Because I've seen a few DVDs of them in Astrovision.

in and out is mainstream. but it's still fun to watch. got nothing against mainstream movies. but i'd rather buy stuff that you don't see in the video stores or cinemas. i was however very surprised to see broken hearts club at a blockbuster store in my neighborhood. hopefully they'll come up with more.

Isn't Chasing Amy a bit of a gay flick in a classic comic worldbackdrop?

Jason Lee has secret hots for Ben Affleck
and Joey Lauren Adams did some tongue with a chick.

How about Queer as Folk UK?  Just 10 episodes but so worth it.  Great acting from the 3 leads (better sometimes than those of the US, I think.)  Better written as well (well, maybe except for the finale :) )

Come Undone is a dark look into a fledgling relationship betweeen 2 teens.  Could have been better -- the flashbacks and flashforwards kinda confused me and my friends.

Splendor has some homoeroticism between the 2 guys in the threesome of Kathleen Robertson, Matt Keeslar and Jonathon Schaech (I dunno if this is out on DVD)

HBO's prison drama series, Oz,  is sprinkled with scenes of semi-naked men and a few full-frontals.  But it's only in the second season where the homoerotic slant between 2 prisoners become very overt.

The first three of Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City 6-book series was made into mini-series.  It's a tale of a lovable landlady and 4 of her tenants/"children" in 70's/80s San Francisco: Michael - a gay man on he lookout for love, Mona - a kooky independent bisexual 'rebel', Mary Ann - a straight naive secretary just new to the city and Brian - a straight promiscuous but nice bartender.

Although More Tales of the City (Book2) and Further Tales of the City (3) are out on DVD, the first is only available in VHS because of a legal ek whatever.  Hopefully, they'll be shooting the next three books soon.

LGBT Films on DVDs
Does anyone here collect LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) films on DVDs?

By LGBT films, I don't necessarily mean films that specifically target the community but films that deal with LGBT issues, or general human issues but dealt with by LGBT characters.  Magulo ba?

It would be interesting to compare notes about them as most of the LGBT films are produce by independent production outfits.

Perhaps, to start-off, here are my personal favorites:

My Life in Pink
Happy Together
Farewell, My Concubine
East Palace West Palace
Priscilla, Queen of the Dessert
Death in Venice
Come Undone

and of course, though not a movie but a t.v series: Queer as Folk (Showtime)

The 3rd Pink Film Festival was a bore anyway.  They should have gotten a festival director who could have come-up with a concept that would unify the films being shown.  As it was, the festival was a mere hodge-pdoge of films with "gay" themes.
