When I look at what other generations consider "precious" and the fact that we ignore much of that, it makes me wonder if there is any relevance in this.
For example, a few years back, local distributors began selling classical and world music CDs at 75 percent off because no one wanted to buy them. So I did, and managed to get hundreds of brand new classical works at a fraction of a cost. A few friends and relatives said that I did not invest wisely, and that more sales will take place in the future.
Today, there are no more sales, and distributors are importing much less non-mainstream music.
The same is probably taking place for DVDs. I feel most collectors buy mostly movies that everyone else is watching.
