May konting hairline cracks na kasi ang favorite demo titles ko dahil masyadong madalas ang tanggal-kabit sa keepcase, so I decided to make my own custom-made DVD demo disc.

DVD-RW ang ginamit ko para madaling magdagdag ng mga latest clips, at para madaling tanggalin ang mga clips na hindi na considered "reference quality". I started with the following:

1. THX Logo from Star Wars III (R3);
2. Chapters 1 and 2 from Star Wars III (R3); and
3. Chapters 1 and 2 from Gladiator (R3, 1st release).

I plan to compile 7 or 8 clips on a single layer DVD-RW. Can you suggest other titles with reference-quality audio and video?

For Episode III you can add Chapter 17 (the Battle of Kashykk) to the list. I find it better than the space battle. You can actually make a Demo disc from just the 6 Star Wars films if you have all of them. Mas maganda pa kasi sunud-sunod.

For Ep I there's the Podrace, the Battle at Naboo, and the final space battle. For Ep II, there's the space chase between Obi-Wan and Jango, then the Jedis versus the Trade Federation at Geonosis. Episode IV is the assault to Destroy the Death Star. Episode V is the Battle of Hoth (so far the best from the remastered DD-EX). For Episode VI: the moon of Endor (speeder chase and the attack of Ewoks) plus of course the final climactic assault to Destroy the Death Star.

I have seen Top Gun SE over the weekend it has 6.1 DTS and mayron scenes na puwede pang demo disc

Here's my latest video clip:

War of the Worlds (2005), R3.

Start: 20mins., 10 secs., 00 frames.
End: 27mins., 52secs., 20 frames.

Total time: 7 mins., 42 secs.

I think demo video clips should be taken from the beginning of the movie, not from the middle or end. That way, we avoid spoilers for the benefit of guests who have not yet seen the movie.

I've been hearing that War of the Worlds is considered the latest reference DVD. It's probably true.

Often, the movie finale has all the punch to make the scene a definite demo material. But there are a few blackbusters with demo quality first chapters like Saving Private Ryan.

I agree WW is demo quality. But I read elsewhere that Star Wars III is the definitive reference DVD, visually and aurally. And the first chapters already fill that role nicely.

Nung una, sinama ko hanggang swordfight ni Mei and the police captain, pero inedit ko rin dahil hindi maganda ang quality - medyo masakit sa tenga.

We're currently working on personalized demo disk, 12 participants. Sana matapos sa Dec 23. It contains almost 100 movie titles - almost 120 clips. Mejo mahirap pala gawin...lalu na pag ang hard disk mo maliit lang capacity. 160 Gig yung sa akin kaso kulang pa...need to back-up other titles with blank dvd-r kc karamihan sa titles hiram ko lang. Ang tagal pa naman magcopy from disk to hd hehehe. Pero happy pa rin kami...sulit ang pagod kc halos lahat ng magaganda para sa demo nakuha na namin.

onga po.. i asked kung pwede pa mag contribute kaso puno na slot.. sayang... hehe baka pwede sa atin lang mga members exclusive sna may ganyan tayo kahit may bayad basta for a cause.... wla pa yata tayo exclusive na items sa PDVD members lng available.. meron po ba?

Bro if you want you can use my kids imac,250gb hd and i think wala pa naka install masyado na program.

Thank you nalang ricky, mejo napagtiyagaan ko nlang magcopy and sa hardisk...patapos na rin naman yung project and nakapag-back-up na rin ako ng mga na-erase na.

Heto na latest update sa project natin:

Natapos ko na iprint mga label at sticker.

Natapos ko na din all disk 1...disk 2 na ako.

Lam ko marami din naghihintay ng resulta ng matagal na naming project. Akala ng iba gimik lang...sa mga di nakahabol, tignan natin kung may part two, sa mga nagcontribute, thanks mga pare, sa mga nagkulang ng tiwala, thank you. Heto ang resulta. Gusto ko lang makita nyo pagod namin para gawin ito.
