elow, newbie lng po ko d2..I'm planning to put up an ht system, maliit lng po ng room, 3.5mx6m room. Budget is 40K, kasama na sana ung receiver ska speaker...meron nko sub...Na-audition ko n ung primus 150 na front, ska ung primus c25 for center, tapos wharfedale nlng n surround pra mura, ska ung harman/kardon avr 135 na receiver....ok n b un? or may mas maganda p na set ng speakers s budget ko? first time ko plng po kasi mag-set up ng ht...tnx

I suggest with that budget, you buy first very good stereo speakers and a very good receiver.
When you have more budget, you can add the remaining speakers or upgrade your subwoofer
to a Velodyne.
   
Building a really good home theater or 5.1 audio system on a limited budget,  AND ESPECIALLY
IF YOU ARE NEW TO THE HOBBY, should be done in steps.  It's better to start slowly AS YOU ARE
STILL LEARNING about your tastes/preferences. Starting slowly means buying only stereo speakers first
and a receiver. That way, if you 'outgrow' your speakers (as your taste can still 'develop'/'evolve'),
you can make them your surround speakers and buy better speakers for your front and center
as you gain experience.

Always bring with you a trusted and experienced audiophile/audio enthusiast friend before you buy anything.
Don't rely on the audio store's recommendations as many of them are more concerned of getting maximum
'sales' than giving you serious audio advice. 

I suggest you buy first a very good receiver and very good stereo speakers for your 40k budget then add
the remaining speakers and subwoofer later.  I strongly advise against getting a complete 5.1 setup with your limited experience.  I don't want you to regret what you have bought since it is very likely you still don't exactly know
what your 'hearing' preferences or 'tastes' are, being new to the hobby.

That being said, I think the Primus, Wharfedales and HK receivers are a nice choice.
I suggest you also audition B&W's 600 series speakers, Velodyne subs and Onkyo receivers.
Ask a trusted and experienced audiophile/audio enthusiast friend to help you in making a decision.
Whatever your choice in speakers/receivers/subwoofers,  remember to buy only 2 speakers
(stereo only) for now as you still do not know what exactly are your 'preferences/tastes'
being new to the hobby.

i agree with kevlar on this ...nung una ganyan din ako ang kaibahan lang natin ikaw may budget na 40k!!ako 15k lang....ang ginawa koay bumili ako ng nextbase na dvd at xtreme na 5.1...ok naman cya.........tapos nung nagputa ako kila sir cybermms para mag audition ng aurum sabi ko ang ganda nito sana aurum nalang binili ko sa pera ko sabi ko sa sarili ko pede naman akong manood nang kahit 2 channels lang......nalaman ko kulang pala ang pera ko for a sv-2 an aurum cantus (22 or 25 k ata yun)kaya sabi ko aurum f6600 nalang...bumagsak ako sa whafedale diamond 9.5 ......ang nagyari na isang tabi ko na ang panonood puro audio nalang ako ngayon..............tapos nakapag audition ako ng b&w sabi ko gusto ko din yun (dito na magsisimula ang paghihirap ko ngayon,hehehehh)but thats another story...........moral lesson:mag  2 channel ka muna ..mag babago pa ang taste mo
