Help me with my Yamaha RX-V650

Hi guys! just bought my new receiver, i caonnected the speaker and was able to play a dvd movies. but when i tried using the tuner, there was no sound. i already connected the supplied antenna. can any body here help me? thanks! ??? ??? ::) ::)

you might have set your input mode to dts. try setting it to auto...

it worked when i'm using DVD but when in Tuner mode not a single sound...

your input mode for tuner might have been set to dts or digital. try setting it to auto or analog. it works in my case....

tried pressing the botton for the input to switch but there is no reaction. by the way, im using the built-in tuner.

while in tuner mode. press "amp" in your remote and press the up or down arrow (the same buttons you used for setting up)  in order to toggle between the input modes. choose analog. this should work otherwise you might have to bring your unit back to the dealer for possible repair or replacement.

First, make sure u are using stereo and not any surround stuff (I assume you are using only two front speakers). Judging by your DVD viewing, I guess the only problem u got is during the d* tuner mode so I suggest u call the dealer or make a return trip asap.

I own an onkyo and I know these tips are a no-brainer but still makes a lot of sense to me. I feel for you, I still listen to my radio. :)

thanks... i'll be bringing the unit by tomorrow at listening room megamall. hope it's just a configuration setting not a internal problem... ::) :'(
