MARCH RELEASE?

I was a able to take a peek at a copy of the MAGNAVISION NEWSLETTER for MARCH 2006. This is one of the titles listed for a March 2006 release.

Moderator Note: Several posts after this one DELETED. We do not allow ANY discussion of pirated material on these forums, and that's what those "Academy Award Screeners" are, and you guys know that. Come on.

Is this similar to the Limited Edition/Digipack Hong Kong release? No details are listed. Thanks!

According to yesasia, the Limited Deluxe Edition (with Serial No.) will have a free King Kong watch, a photo booklet, and 6 postcards.

Ok just got an update from Magnavision. King Kong will be released on March 28. Two versions will be available:
- Widescreen Edition, single-disc, DVD-9, standard casing, Php650
- Special Edition, dual-disc, DVD-9, standard casing with slipcase, Php895

Looks like the LE will not be available locally. According to Magna, there won't be a budget release of this title either. For one thing, film's too long to fit into a single DVD-5.

They'll send the features list and I'll post on the front page.

Pre-booking Promo for King Kong

Reserve King Kong with a Php200 deposit and get the following freebies:

Widescreen Edition (Php650)
2 VCDs of your choice (value: Php199 to 275)

Special Edition (Php895)
1 DVD of your choice (value: Php199 to Php475), or
3 VCDs of your choice (value: Php199 to 275)

Complete rules at your favorite outlet. The free discs aren't sourced from the store's existing stock so you have to list them down so Magna can deliver them when you claim your KK purchase.

Not too sure, but I think as long as the titles are Php475 or below at current retail, they are included. In other words, all the Php375 non-budget DVD-9s are included. W&G is Php650 so I doubt if that's included.

Wow! with slipcase. ;) P895 sounds reasonable enough. Since the R1 might not be slipcased, baka eto na lang muna kunin ko while I'm waiting for the EE. ;)

Since the R1 might not be slipcased...

I was just holding the R1, and the two disc version does have a slip case.

I put it down, though. I wasn't willing to pay double the price of an R3 for an R1, since it's just another two weeks, anyway.

Not really when you consider the pricing of Warner.  Then again if you consider the free DVD included in the package...pwede na rin.

is the slipcase embossed for R1? and R3?

im more inclined to get the R2 and the HK release for freebies but would like to collect the local release as well.

hopefully, the slip case would not be similar to the Awards Edition local release slipcase. pls.
