Hi keilu!

What's the difference between the local release and the HK release?

contents of the dvd are the same...cover also same..... major difference is the packaging and of course, the freebies 

the 2 Disc LE DVD Gift Set (HK release) contains the following:
- deluxe 1930s style pocket watch with "king kong" title treatment
- collectible movie photo album
- six exclusive postcards
- unique serial number (mine is 0166 which is printed at the back of the very sturdy box)

so...if you're after the film....no difference...but if you're after the freebies (like i am  ) the HK release is much much better  - but then again...that's just me

just my 2 cents, they arent actually freebies, cause you paid a lot of extra dough for those "Freebies"

true! but still...got my money's worth  unlike the local release...... .....and the difference in price is quite minimal (from the local price of Php 895.00) actually since i was able to buy it a reasonable price unlike the price now at yesasia at $59.99

(mga less than HK$ 200 ata).  I'll keep my eyes open for that HK LE.  Baka mas mura kong mabili pagdaan ko sa Wednesday.

I agree.  We cant called them freebies as it literally means "free sample, free gift, free offer, giveaway etc. etc.  Cguro nga extras will do.    just my two cents.

tanong ko lang kung ano itsura ng R3 release ng King Kong jan sa pinas? dito sa thailand di rin masyado maganda print dun sa disc mismo but yung slipcase eh mejo maganda. embossed yung ibang graphic and it looks more like a cover of a novel.

Just got my Thai copy of Kong and it's the same as pictured above. Quality of packaging is miles apart from the local release. Kong and the T-rex at the back cover are also embossed.

Sorry sir Hem, but my friend who bought it said it was the last copy on the shelf. I wanted get 3 copies to sell in the marketplace, but it's out of stock already.
