all systems go na para sa king kong dvd on march 28 for d release.pupunta ako bukas sa astrovision para magbayad na ng P200.oo na reservation fee at makapili na ng free dvd na below P475, syempre, di ko muna sasabihin dito yung libre kong dvd na kukunin baka maunahan pa ako

Made my reservation na. Picked the Terminal 2 disc. I was begging the saleslady nga kung pwede Production Diaries na lang magdadagdag na lang ako hehe. Sana isale na lang yung diaries sa next podium sale

hmmm...wonder what the King Kong watch in the HK release will look like

parang i'm more inclined to get this one than our local r3...though i am holding out for an extended edition

no pix til now keilu. if you're a fan, you should take risk. if you're after the film, might as well get the r1 release. expect a price dive once this title is released in R1. cant recommend r3 since no clear details like artwork and contents.

I think I'll pass on this one. Wala sa budget.

But 895 for a 2disc release even with slip case is still quite expensive based on current warner releases.

with the free bundled P475 dvd, i think its worth it. the kk dvd comes out only as P424. i just hope the "oscar-winning" sound effects is reproduced perfectly in this release.

Made the reservation last night. I had 2nd thoughts before I did though because Magna is not really known for good packaging. The free DVD somehow made me do it anyway. Hope this 1 turns out to be good. Kahit gaya lang packaging ng Stealth or Hellboy 2-discs pwede na. Huwag lang gaya ng Indiana Jones or Gladiator.

hmmm......not exactly a fan of the film, naaliw lang kasi ako sa production diaries na LE kaya wanted to get one na LE for the film na rin. isip isip isip........

but, will probably get the r3 magna.....as nebula had computed, with the free dvd, it would come out at P424 na lang.

then will get an r1 version na lang pag may extended edition sya or giftset.

i want to reserve because of the free 475 dvd.
pero im a little scared.

What if i reserve spiderman 2 which is currently 475 now.

And then, when i get the actual dvd, its either, they give me the budget edition, or sabihin sa akin walang stock ng spidey 2.

pano kaya?

nasa fine print nung promo details na subject to availability yung requested disc eh.

i know magna is pushing old releases that cant be sold and maximize the popularity of KING KONG, but it's very difficult to choose from magna releases especially if the titles dont appeal to you.

in the future, hope they can think of a better scheme. let's say buy 2 get 1 King Kong DVD free. same price value.

also, hopefully, a detailed press release would be up soon.

i believe magna reps surf this page to know what collectors truly want.

There actually aren't any titles in the Magna catalogue that I want that I don't already have, so I reserved "The Punisher" na lang. I also told them: "I want this re-priced 375 edition, if there's a budget version of this title and that's what you give me, ibabato ko sa basura pagkabigay niyo sa akin at mumurahin ko ang Magna sa internet."

The girl doing the reservations wrote down "The Punisher - P375 Version ONLY" on my reservation receipt.

If there are indeed Magna reps surfing this page, here's a clear message: Please stop manufacturing those P299 budget DVDs (may nagsabi na nga na ibabato sa basura e...), and maybe you can price your new releases like Warner does?

Magna doesn't really do Php299. In fact they're the ones that have kept 2-disc blockbuster releases at the Php450 to Php650 range.
