Hostel is inspired by shocking stories of the dark side of human nature unearthed by director Eli Roth, and tells the story of two American college thrill-seekers (Jay Hernandez, Friday Night Lights, Ladder 49, and Derek Richardson, Dumb and Dumberer) who find themselves victims of a murder-for-profit business while backpacking in Eastern Europe. Lured to a hostel in an out-of-the-way Slovakian town boasting a bevy of beauties, the two quickly pair off with exotic locals Natalya and Svetlana. After awakening from a hedonistic night of sin, they find themselves plunged into an unimaginable hell, trapped in a torturous netherworld as wide and deep as the darkest, sickest recess of human nature itself.

Watched this last week along with V for Vendetta. This movie struck me the most. Cant wait for the dvd.

Definitely not for the squeamish! If you have heart attack problems don't buy the dvd.

Holy Lord hemisphere.......I was surprised to see it UNCUT at the theatres. My stomach nearly fainted out and mixed up when I saw the gory scenes!!!

during its sundance screening nga, marami raw nasuka at medyo sumakit ang dibdib! ang "cool" daw kung may mamamatay daw talaga while watching the film! hahahaha!

but it really made an impact on me! grabe! natakot ako run! kakatakot tuloy pumunta ng amsterdam at slovakia! hehehe...

ung slovakian mayor or president ata invited eli roth to their country just to show that such act do not exist in their country! medyo offended sila run saka sa description ng women nila.

Natalya was really hot in this movie, hehehe. But actually I felt I was in the operating room during the time when my gall stones were being removed while watching the torture scenes.

I wonder how it will affect their tourism. For better or for worst.

This film was based on true events. I watched an interview with Eli Roth saying that he based his film on a place at Thailand where you can pay $10,000 to shoot a guy in the head. Thats sick man!

just saw this, and sometimes it pays to have low expectations dahil i did not think i would like this one because i was not that much impressed with cabin fever. the thing is, this crap rocks!!! astig!!
