This is the guy who influenced me in getting the PJ and the ROTELS,ang ayaw lang nya eh yung JBL ko kasi maka B&W sya ;D see you this week bote para don sa laptop ko ha. ;)

Hi KimPoy. Thanks. Sa EDIA ko nakuha yung rack. Tagal ko naghintay coz the tv was so big wala magfit na rack. I waited almost two years for one.

Hi Kt. Thanks

Hi Ronjet. Yun nga ang masama e. Like kung sino ang barber sya long hair. LOL. Di ko na makalikot ht ko e. But when it was calibrated, the B&W's were really worth every centavo. But it's really a personal choice. Like Ricky's ears, pang JBL talaga. I like warm sounding gears. Medyo matining for me ang JBL's. Although don't get me wrong. When I had a mobile disco business, I had all professional JBL speakers. Great gears really. Just not my taste. Thanks again.

Hi Ricky. Ready made yung rack ko fromn EDIA. Pwede suggestion mo but the problem is short and digital cable ko for sound to amp if I do it like what you said. And the cables would be hard to pass thru from under since no hole dun e.

Hi Bote!

Great set up! Congrats! May I ask sir what made you decide to go for the 603s2 instead of the bookshelf? Hard kasi to decide whether floorstander or 602s3 ang kunin ko.  Para kasing mas clear ang vocals ng 602 pero mas
me bass naman ang 603 ???

Hi Dtug. You said it. That's the reason why I opted for the floorstander...a little more oommph than the bookshelf. And add to that...no more stands. He he he

Thanks Munskie. As I said hindi ko na nakakalikot e. From time to time I have to check it coz any movement or change in the place could cause change in calibration. Just like Ricky's place. We found out that it's way off since he added a few things. so we overhauled his calibrations.

Mang Eddie, very nice setup! Ganda nga ng rack.

Pero I am just wondering kung paano yung center speaker pag nakababa yung PJ screen?

Hi Mat. Thanks. Pero no contest sa set up mo. He he he. Medyo muffled nga ang sound ng center but I calibrated it with the screen down so medyo compensated na rin.

Hi Kefq. Thanks dude. Epson EMP 30 lang but tell you what. It can give the 4:3 new epsons a run for their money. In my opinion (not coz it's what I have) it's what epson has best for HT in terms of color. Yes I am into htpc. Actually nakamoth ball na Q50 ko coz of it.

Thanks a lot Vhong Biker.

Hi Ronjet. Medyo mahaba and vga cable na nakahook sa FJ. Thanks. I am really glad I could share my experience with others. Truly amazing once your system is calibrated. Where do you live btw? Medyo nabawasan nga ht time ko. Because of the net and mostly because of the wife having much interest in viewing Korean soap operas. Ughhhh!!!

Sir Bote,

Was also able to audition the Epson EMP30 just before it was replaced by newer models (EMP S1). I remember it was my first cinematic experience and it was an awe seeing the EMP30 in action. Yes to me the EMP 30 can rival newer models of EPSON like the S3. Tama ba sir, EMP 30 comes with some sort of a lens filter that gives more detail and depth? Sir do you also have similar experience in calibrating CRT projectors?

HI Kefq. Yes you are correct. That's why I couldn't upgrade this FJ (besides having no budget he he he). Are you referring to rear projection crt? If so I haven't done one yet.

Sir bote,

Front Projection CRT Projector (VPH 1271Q 3 gun). I had this for almost a year but can't seem
to find the time and the dedication cguro to properly converge it hehe. It would consume a day for a novice to converge it.
I have downloaded technical manuals and writings in avsforum on how to properly calibrate this crt. Currently using only s-video and the image is
decent already but I was able to get a bnc to vga cable a couple of weeks ago so I can connect it to
an HTPC. Max resolution of this CRT is 1600X1200 kaya sayang naman kung s-video lang.

Hi Bote,

Great rig! :) I can only imagine how good you've set up your system :) But, doesn't the big HT cabinet in between your B&W's affect the imaging and soundstage in terms of listening to music? Or I guess you've optimized it for HT purposes talaga?

BTW, off topic sir, would you happen to know of any "good" RPTV technician who can service at home?

Thanks! :)

Hi Kato. I angled the front speakers about 15 degrees towards the center for more accurate imaging. Besides, my room is big enough to cover for the distance they are apart. Sorry I don't know any technicians for rptv. Thanks for the compliments.

Hi Kefq. I think the AVIA has some patterns for checking convergence for crt projectors.

HAHAHA!  :D

Kaya nga di ako kumuha ng cable for our house. baka ito mangyari...barkada pa naman ni missis puro Korean soaps pinaguusapan.

kaya sinasamahan ako ni missis manood ng DVD, wala na kasi ibang pwede panoorin.

down side is, di ko alam ano nangyayari sa outside world  ;D or about Rustom
